While the distance was not a concern, to someone who has never visited dublin I think using city centre is misleading. After some research I purchased a leap pass, the bus system can be a little complicated but once mastered it's fine.
The room was dated the visible layers of different coloured paints, dated furniture and ill fitting curtains. The cleanliness was fine but with such a tatty hotel, the cleaner had little chance it making it look nice.
The room was so warm with no air con that we had to sleep with the window open. But the main road was so loud you couldn't sleep. Resulting in tiredness that got worse thought out our holiday. I think this hotel should be modified and the city centre tag removed. I use travelodge regularly and despite the old saying " you get what you pay fot" I rarely have a problem. I felt that I had to review this to ensure travelodge look at their hotel in one of the most vibrant cities Iin the world.
