“wonderful choice for Dublin stay”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful reception’s staff. They have own bus transfer from/to the airport which is great, just look around for a green bus with yellow-orange inscription on: Paddywagon.
The hotel is with wonderful location, quite area, maybe a little bit noisy if your room is in front and window is open, but is ok, comfortable beds and clean bathroom with bathtub in. No fridge in the room, but there are vending machines on each floor for ice and soft drinks and also in the room you’ve got set to make your own tea or coffee. Notice that the coffee downstairs work only Monday to Friday, same for the coffee shop in diagonal opposite of the hotel.
Don’t forget to check your plugs, there are not with European sockets, so if your plugs are not fit with Irish/English standards you can buy an adaptor from vending machines in the hotel on each floor and they even cheaper then other places I saw in town. Also there is free with good speed WiFi in the rooms which is nice complimentary of the hotel and also you'll find in the room steam iron with ironing board and hairdryer.
The train station Grand Canal Dock of DART (Dublin area rapid transport – it’s great way to explore Dublin area, south or west off the town, don’t miss!) is just 3 minutes away and with more few steps you will reach the supermarket where also have a coffee shop in there. The area around is nice with its Georgian architecture, you can stroll along the canal or go for a walk on the river, town centre is only about 20 minutes by feet, also there are wonderful parks near the hotel and also you can go to the beach of Dublin bay by foot. Nice place to stay in Dublin, i'll be glad to stay there again!

Stayed here for an evening with special rate of €80 room only for twin room.

Room was lovely a spacious and the desk was great to work from. Beds were comfy and hotel was very clean & quiet. Maybe I was just lucky that I was at a quiet side.

Staff friendly.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. 2 of our guests have a gluten allergy and when the restaurant in the hotel ran out of gluten free pasta, the staff actually went to the store to buy some! I've never seen that happen. They were incredible throughout our stay. The hotel is a good walk from the center of Dublin, approximately 15 minutes. It's a nice area; shopping center is close by with and Aldi. The rooms were nice.

Stayed in this hotel as we were going to a concert in the RDS. Walked from the hotel to the RDS on a lovely July evening. The hotel is within walking distance to the Aviva stadium as well. Had a very nice stay and we ate in the adjacent bar and the food was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Sylvia's coffee, tea and breakfast-lunch goodies in the lobby for takeout or enjoying there was exceptional and she is, too --remembered what we liked to order. Restaurant menu good, too. Our room was dead quiet, ample and attractive. All staff are helpful and friendly. Had there been acoustic traditional Irish music, we would have spent more time in the restaurant.

This hotel has no ideas of grandeur, it's a good, correctly rated 3 star and my 3 nights stay was pleasant.
Cons : Dated Lobby, but you can live wuth that/ Bathroom while adequate, most definitely needs upgrading / Towels are threadbare
Pros : The beds are fab and of 5 star quality/ Room size really spacious and well decorated/ Staff really pleasant / Great location for Dublin 4 and city centre / Reasonably priced /
This hotel could have illusions of grandeur if the lobby, bar and bathrooms were upgraded. But overall would recommend.

We stayed here for a city break.

Area - it isn't in the centre of town which was something we actually like but at the same time we were able to walk to the temple area in about 25minutes (We are both mid/late 20s).

Room - was nice modern and a reasonable size, it was clean and each day we came back to find it spotless once again. There wasn't a great view but I'm not sure there would be in any hotel in Dublin? However we were at the back and each morning we woken by deliveries (we had to have the windows open due to the heat). It wasn't a major issue because we wanted to be up and out anyway.

We didn't have breakfast as we thought eur 8 per person per morning was a little pricey. Instead we walked down the main road (leave the hotel turn right, walk over the bridge, across the road and keep going straight) and you come to a Spa. They had fresh pastries and hot food so that did us fine. In fact we bought breakfast and a sandwich each for eur 12 for both...

Staff - were all very friendly and helpful and can't complain

Overall the hotel is perfect for a city break and I would stay here again.

Hello
Thank you for the comments and glad you enjoyed your stay. The restaurant breakfast does offer a full range of hot and cold breakfast items for the fix cost but do try our Canal Express Coffee shop in the lobby, for selections of freshly baked pastries and speciality coffees, if you prefer something lighter during the week.
Hope we will have the opportunity to see you again soon.
Kind regards
