Terrific little hotel in Dublin city! Have twice stayed for a week or more and am planning to book again. Super location, spotlessly clean bathrooms and comfy, clean bedding. My stays were during the winter and the room was toasty warm, wonderful after walking all day. Fast wifi. Outstanding value.

Staff is friendly and helpful with directions or things to do. They make an effort to be sure your stay is enjoyable.

Sit in the lobby and write postcards by the fire or at the bar downstairs (tip: best wings in Dublin!). Neighborhood is pretty, quiet and lovely for walking in the evening. National Botanic Gardens are nearby for strolling during the day.

Great location to/from the airport. Take the city bus from the airport to the Drumcondra Railway stop and walk 5 minutes. If you have a bit of luggage then take the AirLink or AirCoach buses as these services are prepared for you to have luggage.

Going to/from the city centre is easy. A brisk walk to O'Connell St. or else catch nearly any bus on Drumcondra Road in the direction of the city centre. You can also take the 4/9/83/140 buses to/from Phibsboro/Glasnevin so there are plenty of choices for buses. I like to walk in to the city and take a bus back.

The bistro has excellent food whether you want a snack or a full meal and there's a great atmosphere in the evening. Nearby is also The Cheese Pantry and Andersons Cafe, both excellent. Or if you're looking for even more food then I suggest to wander a little further to WJ Kavanaghs on Dorset St. (or taxi to L. Mulligan Grocer, their other location in Stoney Batter).

The hotel is a gem for accommodation and food, accessible to everything and with some nice perks. A perfect base for touring Dublin. Highly recommend for women traveling solo.

If you are thinking of having a small-to-medium size wedding reception, we strongly recommend you check out the Maples House Hotel, Glasnevin.

We had our wedding reception in this hotel in June 2013. It would be hard to exaggerate the standard of service we received. The Maples made us a priority in every way.

From the first time we contacted to the hotel, to the day of the wedding, and through the many months in between, this hotel was always quick to answer our questions, helpful, friendly and everything we could have desired.

On the day itself, they pulled out all the stops to make sure everybody was happy. The food was delicious, the staff were accommodating and eager, and the many wedding guests that actually stayed in the hotel were extremely happy with their experience.

We can’t praise the dedication of this hotel enough, down to so many little details. One example might suffice. On the day before our wedding, we still hadn’t got our wedding programmes printed. The manager of the Maples House Hotel let us use their computer and printer to print out programmes at the last minute—in the early hours of the morning of the very day of our wedding—to oblige us. It took us hours but nobody grumbled or gave us funny looks.

There are many other examples we could give of this hotel going way beyond expectations.
The hotel itself is a very charming little haven, a hotel with the soul of a bed and breakfast.
We are extremely grateful to the Maples Hotel for making our wedding reception so satisfactory, and we simply cannot recommend them highly enough.

I booked the room in this hotel for two nights.
The hotel has a restaurant on the fist floor. The hotel had a party on Friday. I got an answer on the reception that it's always on Friday. But next day (Saturday) the hotel had another party from 8pm. It was not possible to sleep. The floor of my room vibrated. The level of music was terrible. The manager told me that hotels can have parties till 12.30am in Ireland and it's a usual practice.

We were very pleased when we arrived, the staff were very helpful, the room clean and comfortable.... Great location to take the bus into town and parking on the street made this look like a fantastic choice until.....
Staying on a Monday night, and with an early start the following day, we never expected to have issues with noise! Apparently a wedding, the music and party goers continued beyond midnight.

Worth checking before you book what is going on in the bar! Perhaps an investment in some sound proofing wouldn't go amiss - it felt like we were sharing a wall with the DJ and party goers as we could sing along to the words of the music!

Dear Guests

Thank you for being so kind as to review our hotel. We appreciate our guests feedback at all times.

We have delighted to hear the very nice compliments you gave us.

We are very sorry to hear that the music from the entertainment of the wedding disturbed your night's rest. It is very unusual to have a wedding on a Monday night. We hope this did not affect a potential return visit upon which we would endeavour to make very special for you.

Again, thank you for your kind comments,

Regards

The Manager

Stayed here the night of the Robbie Williams concert. Staff at check in were super friendly, offering to order a taxi for us & even had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. The room was very clean & comfortable with a double & single bed. Had dinner in the lounge which was great value & Jason who served us was a gentleman. Would have no hesitation recommending the Maples to family & friends & look forward to our next visit.

This hotel is around 4 Km from Heuston train station and is well connected by bus services passing through City center (walk for 5 minutes from main roads to get bus). Dublin Airport is 17 Euros (20 min) by taxi. The botanic house is very near by. A couple of indian restaurants (Vagya and Ruposhi) are walkable.
The rooms were small. But the prices were not worth considering the cleanliness. There is no lift and I walked with my baggage through narrow passage. The Breakfast did not justify its price tag either.
They have a bar and restaurant. The hotel is located in a peaceful community.

When I walked into the room I was taken aback by a strange smell.the rooms are small and the price is far too much for what you get.worst of all, I was heading out and needed a quick shower, but no hot water!!was told to wait twenty minutes for them to boost the system, unacceptable!!!
