We arrived at Willow House with a holiday in tatters. Half-way through walking the Wicklow Way I had hit a medical problem and had to complete the walk with the "baggage train" with the prospect of surgery in Dublin. It was a worrying time which was made easier by Bernie's empathy and support. I'm pleased to say the surgery was successful and I'm back walking again. Thank you, Bernie.

Two American couples spent 4 lovely nights at the Willow House. Hostess Bernadette was warm, witty and helpful during our visit to Dublin. The location was ideal- right on the bus line in a charming neighborhood with many pubs and restaurants. A taxi to/from the airport or to the city center was only €15 for the four of us. A bus was less than €2 each.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were both healthy and filling, including the 'full Irish' as well as many other options cooked perfectly by Bernadette. 'Lovely' is a word most apt to describe our stay at the Willow House.

Thank you, Bernadette, for helping to make our first trip to Dublin a lovely experience.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms at the rear of the house.

We took the 16a bus from the airport for less than 2 Euro and it dropped us off right in front of the house as we were told. We arrived a bit later than anticipated and waited for only 20 mins before Bernie came home. She offered us the option of two rooms as well as breakfast, and was more than helpful with directions, suggestions and anything else we needed.
The bus ride downtown was no more than 15 mins.
Only down side was that the wi-fi was not very accessible. Had to sit in one small place to get it. Would've been nice to take advantage of the front sitting room.
Bernie was very professional, while she's not warm and fuzzy, she's efficient and helpful, it was just what we wanted. Thanks again and we will certainly be back.

Room Tip: If you want a bigger room, take #8; upstairs Queen bed. The traffic noise was no problem!

My 9 year old daughter and myself stayed at Willow House for 7 nights, along with our friend from England, who stayed for 6 nights. Our room was beautifully clean, bright, airy and fresh with warm, cosy beds and a lovely en suite shower room with toilet and wash basin. There was also shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
From the time we arrived, our hostess Bernie made sure we had the most marvellous time and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is served from 8am - 10am and there is, quite honestly, the best selection of food I have ever seen in a B&B! From the traditional "Full Irish" - beautifully cooked by Bernie - to french toast, pancakes, yoghurt (all served with maple syrup and a selection of berries) and a great selection of cereals with fresh milk, toast and soda bread with a variety of marmalades and jams. There is also fresh orange juice and a choice of tea or coffee. My daughter Evie was absolutely thrilled with the great variety of food Bernie offered her each day and we felt so much "at home". Never have I had breakfast served before with the cheerful greeting I received from Bernie : "There you are Susan, me darlin' girl......" Our stay was absolutely delightful!

There is a bus stop outside the B&B with buses to Dublin City Centre (10 minutes away) every few minutes and Bernie is a mine of information regarding routes, bus numbers etc. There are also shops and cafes nearby and the B&B is in a lovely tree-lined area, near Croke Park and Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum.

I think it would be hard to find any fault with Willow House and Bernie is an absolute sweetheart! We had a lovely holiday, thanks to her wonderful hospitality and we will certainly be returning in the near future.

This was the first time I have stayed at Willow House, and it certainly won't be the last....I had a single room, extremely comfortable and clean with all amenities. Bathroom with shower, basin in room, television and tea and coffee making facilitles. Plenty of storage space, in fact everything I could ask for - including hairdryer. Bernie was a lovely host, and the breakfast was excellent, good choice and plenty of food. Bernie couldn't do enough for us and made us feel so welcome. Only ten minutes by bus to the centre of Dublin, and about 20 minutes to the airport. Buses stop almost at the door. I would definitely recommend Willow House as an excellent place to stay in Dublin. Thanks to you Bernie for making my stay so comfortable and homely.

Room Tip: Some traffic noise I would imagine from all rooms, but this is to be expected on a main road, and di...

We were looked after by the hostess personally.there was a great selection of cereals We had lashings of fresh strawberries, blueberries peaches etc with or without our chosen yogurt type. The omelettes alone with gouda cheese were a delight. there was 2 types of home baked brown bread as also toast or white bread- all according to our wishes. The house had a warm relaxed atmosphere 200 hundred yards away were a lovely selection of restaurants which meant you did not have to travel to eat in delightful circumstances with just a leisurely 3 minute walk home afterwards.
Cleanliness was joint number 1 in importance, we found our room and bathrooms were attended to every day. Delightful. i will return.
