“Tony & Gill's 3 night stay at Leeson Bridge GH June 2012”
Reviewed 19 June 2012

Pretty random online booking - very pleased with result. Found management and staff all very welcoming, helpful and friendly but not 'all over you', i.e. respected your own space and 'privacy'. Our room (executive suite) was comfortable and well appointed although it would have been nice to have had a comfortable chair in it, rather than just the dressing table one. Proper lounge downstairs. The 'full Irish' breakfast was to die for! Overlooking the canal was very nice. We would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: Overlooking the canal lock.

just had 4 days at this hotel and enjoyed it. we had the executive suite which is probably a slight exaggeration but the sauna and bath were excellent and the room facilities as expected. the dining room was quite busy on a couple of days but there was a fine selection of food both hot and cold and the staff were very helpful and polite. overall after reading all the blurbs and reviews we got what it said on the tin and we we quite satisfied with our booking.

Room Tip: the front is over a main road but didnt cause us a particular problem

Six of us stayed in May 2012. Delighted. Quirky hotel with a selection of different rooms. Breakfast looked like your standard buffet sitting in heated trays, but tasted amazingly good, especially black pudding. Best breakfast I have had. All staff friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy with great location. Couldn't get WiFi to work very well myself but a small price to pay for a great stay. Thank you.

Stayed here on Bank Holiday weekend. Rooms were clean and neat. Fan in room if needed.
Found staff before and during stay very nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast and lady in the breakfast room was cheerful and friendly. Would recommend this guesthouse and would stay there again.

We booked late and the price increased (from those mentioned on the web) as there were many events on during the bank holiday weekend, so we were not very happy. However when we got there Emma on reception was fantastic, super helpful, she contributed to our hassle free stay. WI-fi in the lounge close to reception which was good. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. Our room was super clean and also had a bath tub and even though facing the carpark we didn't hear a beep. The Air Coach stops right outside. What else does one need!!! We would have like to have stayed our last night but had booked to stay at the airport and it was too late to cancel without losing money. I would highly recommend this gueshouse and hope to stay there again on my return trips to Dublin.

We stayed in the building beside the main hotel but there was no wi-fi access in that building, despite the hotel being advertised as free broadband. However we were told that there was free wi-fi in the lounge.

The lounge in the main building had free wi-fi, but this room was closed each night at 9pm!! We found this out when we tried to gain admittance but a surly and totally unhelpful member of staff said it was closed. He had an attitude and total lack of customer service.

The hotel should in this day and age supply wi-fi to all the guests not just part of the hotel. If the wi-fi is so restricted then this should be mentioned on the hotel web site and they should at least put a sign on the door of the lounge saying it closes at 9pm and therefore no more wi-fi after that.

As said above the place is nice enough and a pretty comfortable place to stay... We did find the room we stayed in very hot especially at night as there were no windows only door to balcony, which I wouldnt leave open. Some of the staff were excellent, other plain ignorant, I left behind items at the hotel, and when I rang them to ask for them to post them to me I was told "i don't think so" must ring back next week to see if it will be. On a possitive note the breakfast was good and the parking secure.
