We spent 2 nights in the lodge part of the b&b and used it as a base for exploring Dublin. It's about a 20 minute walk to the centre in which you can cut partly through a park. The room was fine, clean and comfortable. However, we had the ground floor room which looked straight down the road and so offered little privacy and was quite noisy due to vehicles. Also the shower was very very strange; seemed to be designed as a steam room unit and so the shower pressure and temperature control was fairly poor. We didn't try the breakfast and weren't in the 'bridge' part so cannot comment on these.

We spent two nights in the hotel. We stayed in one of the apartments by the car park.

The night we checked in the young boy in the reception didn't tell us that there was a code to get into the building and so we had to wait in the car park for someone to get back in to the hotel so that we could leave. So, make sure you get the code if you stay in one of the apartments.

Apart from that, the staff were very nice and friendly.

The hotel is 15-20 minute walk to the Temple Bar area. Also, the airport bus is right outside. So, location is really good.

The apartment was well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, etc) I guess if you only go for a few days you don't really need that but it is there. I should say, the room was quite dark as we had to leave the curtains closed because it overlooks a backstreet and sometimes cars and people walk passed (the room was not noisy though). The shower is very small. Bed was great, very comfy.

The price was excellent for the location. The reason we give a 3 star rating is because rooms were a bit tired and dark and the shower was tiny.

Room Tip: Apartments could be quite dark and the shower is very small.

Well, I really don't understand, we must have got the worst room on offer. It was tiny, the bathroom had to stand on the drain for the shower to get to the sink, and the toilet was so close to the sink, you couldn't just stand up. Linen was clean, but the bathroom not so much as we had a resident spider in there the two days we were there, and there were red nail varnish marks on the toilet seat. We didn't find parking a problem so I guess that was a good thing! Although, the telephone at the back door didn't work so we had to walk all the way round with our stuff. The room it's self was tiny which I didn't mind, but the floor was all stained, the windows were hard to operate and the phone in the room didn't work...although it did randomly get replaced during our stay so perhaps they knew about this. The hair dryer in the room was dangerous, as you had to hold the button down for it to work, but the button had caved in, meaning you had to stick your finger IN the hair dryer for it to work. There was a ladder up to the attick RIGHT outside our door, which made it difficult with our bags to squeeze through, also the person going up there each morning was noisy and woke us up. Although the rooms were actually fairly peaceful apart from the ladder goer. The room absolutely stunk though! It was like rotten egg, if you have ever been to a volcanic region were the air smells of sulphur then you will know exactly what I mean. It seemed to be coming up from the toilet? I don't know, but it was disgusting. Don't know about breakfast as it appeared to be extra and we thought 10 euros each was a bit of a rip off when there is a really nice cafe down the road. Good location...that's about it. Feel a bit ripped off about this place, it was ok, but for the money it was terrible! Can't believe what we got for the money...and then I read everyone else's reviews and they are going on about saunas and jacuzzis? What?! Would not recommend, probably better in center for less money or same amount. Really dissapointed. Wouldn't stay again and wouldn't recommend.

Firstly, the negatives...as another reviewer mentioned, initially finding parking was a real challenge. After finally finding the hotel there was nowhere to park outside so we got caught up in the one way system driving around in circles trying to find it again. We parked on a nearby street as it was after 6pm and checked in on foot. After that the parking was located at the back of the hotel. This information would be helpful before arrival. The breakfast was ok but self service rather than a la carte so sometimes the trays needed refilling. On our last morning we were the only people in there yet the tables were all dirty and needed clearing. The positives...the room was clean, although compact. The room was hot but the receptionist provided us with a fan. The sauna and jet bath were nice. The location is great. The reception staff were lovely.

Met by a very friendly receptionist. Very helpful in recommending restaurants etc. 3 of us got a good sized room with a kitchen! Lovely balcony too. Guest house was very clean and breakfast was pleasant, although breakfast room was quite small. 10 min walk to Grafton St. Would recommend.

The staff is very nice and helpful for any kind of information; the location is very near to city center, about 15 minutes walking. Wifi is working well in the room. There is a private car park. Breakfast is full irish

The hotel is okay. When I checked in, the room smelled of smoke and it was on the top floor and with the unseasonably warm weather was HOT. Yes, we overlooked the canal but were forced to keep the windows open to try to cool down the place and it was remarkably noisy. The room overall is outdated. Wifi was useless
