Spacious and well equipped apartment. All the things we asked the landlady before we arrived were carried out to our full satisfaction. Below the apartment there is a supermarket with cheap prices that has everything and there are 2 more food stores. And a parfumeria and a fish shop. Despite this the apartment is located in the back of the building and therefore quiet. We received the apartment very clean.
We needed an apartment not too far from Ranelagh and as we had a hire car, we needed parking too. We knew of Rathmines as we had stayed in Rathgar previously, so the area was perfect for a long weekend stay.
The on-line details were clear enough to get a good impression of the standard of accommodation and with phone calls and e-mails ensured we were kept up to date with the booking details from Elaine.
Car hire delays at the airport had the knock on effect of a really late evening arrival.. a phone call and we were met and introduced to a lovely apartment that was warm, had fresh essentials in the kitchen including, tea, coffee, bread, milk, eggs and butter.. just what the doctor ordered.
Comfortable, spacious, modern and clean.. a good night’s sleep ensued and with a very convenient Tesco Express next door and the chemist, cafes and shops close by too, we had all we needed right on our doorstep.
An inclusive parking permit for off-street parking a few hundred metres away and we were sorted... An ideal base to explore, return to and relax. The free wi-if was a bonus, as was the sat box digital tv and music channels, they all helped make the self-catering experience a very pleasant one.
The two bedrooms and bathrooms fitted the bill exactly as the on-line write up described and it was easy to rustle up meals in the well equipped kitchen.. even made use of the washing machine and dryer in the apartment..
If you want a place to stay not too far from the city of Dublin and close enough to the well catered amenities in the village of Rathmines.. I would suggest that apartment 3 would take some beating.. very nice indeed!
We were warmly greeted by Elaine and Sophie, and instructed about the flat. They brought bread, milk, eggs, juice, etc. The apartment was clean and comfortable, well maintained and supplied with everything we needed. We called about our challenges with the clothes washer and the next morning a capable woman came to show us how to use it! (It was brand new). Helpful information in notebook about the area. Lovely bakery, butcher, upscale grocer and produce shops are just a few doors down! Safe, quiet, convenient location. We will return!
Warm welcome and faultless communication. High quality apartment at a very reasonable cost. Local shops just seconds from the entrance. On main bus route and only a ten minute walk to the tram. Having safe parking included in the price was really useful. Altogether extremely satisfied and would strongly recommend this great apartment.
We booked an 11 night stay, wanting to find a place that would feel like home..The owner, Elaine was very good and professional from the start of our communications..always responsive with e mails and advice.
The apartment itself is lovely, well laid out and cosy..has a full kitchen with washing machine and we found it very practical as a home from home.
I wouldnt hesitate to reccomend the place or the owner...we look forward to our next stay
Everything that we needed for our stay was in the apartment, beds were so comfortable, washer and dryer all in one was great, bedrooms were a good size, lounge and kitchen small but as we were out all day it was ok, The apartment was close to town, bus stop and the Lewis all in walking distance. wonderful to have someone change the linen once a week .
