“Wonderful hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2012

I stayed here on business and was delighted to find a well situated hotel that was of such I high standard. The rooms were very well looked after and the overall genreal facilites were great also. The breakfast was fabulous offering everything you could every wish for. The concierge staff were well trained and extremely helpful and were able to assist at any time.

The bar staff were highly trained and very passionate which made our stay even more enjoyable

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to travel to Dublin, business or social.

Great modern and clean hotel offering amazing cocktails. Only a short walk to Temple Bar and plenty of other pubs and restaurants. The bathroom was wonderful I wish I could have it at home. Breakfast had lots to offer and nice to see healthy options.
I would also recommend that people visit a local pub called Grogans not far from the hotel and before Temple Bar. This offers a more authentic Irish pub experience, has great Guinness and warm atmosphere. We spent two nights here and were made to feel like locals!

The hotel is well situated and is a short walk to the centre of Dublin with eating places located close by. The staff are friendly and helpful and suggested places to get a drink and eat as we wanted to enjoy a typical Irish Pub rather than dine in the hotel.

We had upgraded to a Business Class Room for an extra 45 euros. We had a large room with plenty of room for suitcases. It was well set out with a safe and air conditioning. Would probably advise not to upgrade your room as I don’t know whether it was worth the extra money. Am sure the standard rooms would be nicce as well.

This hotel is a very nice property in a quiet area that is within walking distance (short!) to just about all of the main attractions. The only thing I can complain about on the location front is that the train station is a bit of a walk - but that will only matter if you plan to head out of Dublin (to Howthe etc)

I had a basic room and found it to be quite nice with a huge shower and amazing bathroom :). Of course I didn't spend much time there but it was nice to have a place to go back to that was relaxing.

As far as the staff and services: The staff really went above and beyond including giving me a check in at a very early time (my flight arrived 9am) without charges etc. There is free wifi (huge) and the room service is unbelievably cheap! I usually never order room service but when I saw a pint of guiness was only 4.95 euro TOTAL from room service, I couldn't resist.

Finally I have to address something I saw from another review. They said the area around the hotel is sketchy and would be reluctant to recommend it to a solo female traveler or to families. I have to dispute this completely. As a solo female visitor to Dublin, I never felt unsafe in any area of the city and certainly not anywhere near the hotel. Sure, near the tourist spots are the usual beggars etc (like ANY city) but again, this area is safe and I am not sure what that person was worried about. Its a beautiful hotel in a great location! I almost didn't get it because of that review but I'm glad I ignored it. Just my 2 cents since I was on the look out after reading the previous review.

I will definitely be staying again - great hotel!

Its close to everything, tho Dublin seemed to be very compact :)

Room was very clean, service varied between clerks, most were very helpful. The chap with glasses and short dark hair not so.

Stayd for 3 nights, brekky was good every morning. Arnie at the bar was really nice and helpful, a HUGE thanks to him!

When in Dublin, this is our hotel in the future as well!

Overall a great experience. I slept well in a very well equipped room. A great location, easy access to the centre of Dublin, but quiet enough itself and a very nice bar and restaurant. This is what I expect Radisson Blu to be!

We were a family of 4 staying over the Easter weekend in Dublin. Warm greeting upon check in and staff was eager to make sure we settled in. Rooms were in very nice shape. Both rooms came with a complimentary fruit plate and cookies for the kids. Water pressure in the showers was good. We ate the buffet breakfast which was very well done with both hot and cold foods. The thing we really liked was the hotel was close to major attractions but in a very quiet neighborhood. Overall it was a great stay, the staff was outstanding, and hotel was only a 10 minute walk to the central downtown.
