“Centrally located and comfortable walking distance to most attractions”
Reviewed 31 March 2014 via mobile

The hotel feels spanking new with the room deco and bathroom exuding sleek and trendy. The breakfast buffet is also impressive with salmon among its cold cuts and plenty of fresh juice choices.

The location on Golden Lane cannot be more convenient. We didn't realize we were neighbors with Dublin Castle and after stumbling into it, spent 30 mins taking photos of the courtyard near the Chester Beatty library.

On our first evening, we took a circuitous route that covered St Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, the Central Bank, Trinity College, the O'Connell Monument, the Spire of Dublin, Ha'Penny Bridge and Temple Bar in one late afternoon / early evening's worth of traipsing.

The next morning, we made for Guinness Storehouse - an easy 25 mins walk away beyond St Patrick's Cathedral in one direction - we took the horse-drawn carriage back to the hotel as we were desperately late for a twice extended checkout. The hotel was very accommodating in this regard and didn't penalize us. In fact they suggested we let them store our luggage and keep our car in the basement parking (since we'd already paid for the day's parking) whilst we explored St Stephen's Green and Grafton St.

So - the point is their location is strategic, within reach of a lot of attractions yet tucked away enough that it's not crowded and noisy. And with all the inevitable walking, the room you return to beckons with its comfy bed and stylish design. The shower is therapy. And you get 3 choices of Nespresso in the room itself!

Fabulous service, great location, large, modern, comfortable rooms. We arrived at 6 a.m. on St. Patricks Day just hoping to drop our bags; we instead were allowed to immediately check in, and for €20/night per room we upgraded to business class rooms which included free breakfast- a huge perk for a family of 5 with hungry teenagers. And the full Irish breakfast was terrific!

This hotel is a very short walk from the center of town and all the action, lots of restaurants and shops are nearby. I look forward to returning again when we visit Ireland.

My wife and I stayed at the Radisson Blu Royal Dublin for 3 nights in a Junior Suite over St Patrick's Day celebrations. My wife's birthday was on St Patrick's day and we had contacted the hotel in advance for a late check-in. We arrived and were greeted by the service manager Adam who checked us in and provided wonderful tips for our stay including a few nearby restaurants (Whitefriar Grill was amazing!!). Our room was on the 6th floor with a private balcony with views of the city, and we were provided a wonderful welcome "Happy Birthday" dessert with a personal note. What a treat and nice touch! The rooms were clean and modern with a separate couch/seating area. Bathroom was modern with its own soaking tub and TV -- great way to unwind. The self-service breakfast was also amazing with many options to choose from. The location is ideal and walking distance (5/10 min) to Temple Bar, St Patricks Cathedral and Grafton Street/Trinity College area which has coach bus service to/from the airport. We have already recommended the hotel to friends traveling to Dublin later this year.

We arrived really early about 8am, there wasnt any rooms available but they did take our luggage so that we could head out. We were given a map and shown all the places to go as we had never been to Dublin before and had a few hours to kill before check in. We took the hotels phone number so that we could phone in a couple of hours to see if a room was available. We headed out down towards Temple Bar and Grafton St area which is only a 10 minute walk away and did a bit of shopping then settled in a bar. We phoned up about 12pm and a room was ready, we headed up and checked in. The room was spotless, lots of room for the two of us with a small seating area, im sure we were in a superior standard, bathroom was so spacious, clean and very modern. There was complimentary wifi in the room but for some reason my phone didnt work with it. Free tea and coffee etc and a mini bar but would have liked to have seen a free bottle of water at least upon arrival. We had breakfast included and what a selection, we were spoiled for choice. Everything you could think of was there. Perfect hotel if you like to be just outside the hustle and bustle.

A lovely and nice hotel in a good walking distance to the center of Dublin.

Great personel and the breakfast is one of the best I have ever tried, both in quality, but also in range of different options, including Smoothies, Omelets etc.

Decided to upgrade to Business hotel room and that seems like an ok option, if you want Wifi, newpaper etc. (room not bigger).

Very god hotel, price was reasonable. My room was silent and the bed was fine. Breakfast very good. Internet connection did not work properly the last morning before I left, I had to sit in the lobby to be albe to find a network. However overall experience is very positive.
