This hotel was very clean and professional. Hotel Wi-Fi was decent, room service was very polite and accommodating, and housekeeping did an amazing job each day! Very great value for the price paid! The location is also very nice, within walking distance to shopping, dining, and other businesses.

We spent the last week of May 2014 at this hotel. It is a modern hotel with freshly appointed and well-maintained rooms. We occupied two rooms in that hotel and both were clean and quiet with a comfortable king bed; we slept well! It's also in a good location, near the Temple Bar area, the river and the Grafton street shopping area. The staff were attentive and always pleasant. At lunchtime, the hotel offered an inexpensive lunch buffet, typically a soup and/or sandwich, for 5-10 euros. This was helpful during our relatively short conference lunch time.

Thank you for reviewing the Radisson Blu Royal in Dublin!
I am thrilled to read your comments. Our 3 Bowls concept in our SURE Bar is a success with our local business, corporate and meeting delegates.
Here at the Royal, we are proud to have freshly appointed and designed bedrooms which are keep up to date since our opening. Our location is as well helpful for business and leisure guests.

Highly recommend this hotel for its location, staff and food. On checking we were early but given a room, we declined this room as we wanted a Kingsize Bed, this was dealt with efficiently by the young lass on the Reception Desk, think her name was Mia. Our room was very spacious and extremely comfortable, although a little noisy of you left the window open to the street, (there are apartments directly across), the bathroom was a delight, huge bath and a separate rain shower, loved it, lighting not a problem, you need to turn all the switches on. We had room service which was very good and also had a bar meal, once again, very good, chicken wings to die for. Breakfast was superb, everything you could possibly want and more, the staff extremely lovely. On checking out, once again Mia was at the desk and insisted on helping to carry luggage to the taxi, this girl should be recommended for her service at the Hotel. Thank you for three very relaxing hassle free days, would definitely stay there again.

First off, I'm not typically a critical reviewer. The location is very good - better than the Doubletree but maybe not quite as good as the Westin...
The staff is wonderful. There is a very helpful female from Hungary at the reception who is an angel and an Asian bartender who was top notch!
The breakfast buffet was quite large and good, though bigger isn't always better...
The bathroom was fantastic! I read someone felt it was too dark. Maybe the lights were dimmed... which is awesome for a peaceful bath.
Now the negatives: This place is quite expensive...too expensive for the following problems.
People were regularly having trouble getting the elevator card key reader to work. We'd just sit on the ground floor inserting and reinserting the card trying to get it to work. I ran a bath and orange sediment water came out for a bit. I don't know who is responsible for that, and I doubt it's a common problem.... but it was pretty gross/shocking.
The main problem is... the internet. People in several reviews have complained about it. It is junk. We had some business to take care of, and couldn't. So we used their antiquated business center (a well worn computer) and it literally took 10 minutes to do about 2-3 minutes of work. Why won't they fix their shoddy internet? We weren't watching movies. We weren't hanging out on the internet. However, it's 2014 and people need reliable internet service ... And this place is way too expensive for that. And get a better business center. Hostels do better than theirs.
So a great staff, sub-par infrastructure.
(I'm repeatedly trying to post this and I can't because of the internet.... FAIL!)

Dear Juddcc,
Thank you for reviewing the Radisson Blu Royal in Dublin.
I really appreciate your review and will not miss the opportunities to thank Mia and Heaven for their outstanding services, as well as the entire team here at the Royal. I am thrilled that you pointed out our downtown location, Super Buffet Breakfast and fantastic bathrooms.
In regards to our internet, the Wifi range has been improved since the beginning of 2014 and we are already in touch with our provider due to the accessibility of our network. We hope that soon, this issue will be fixed for the comfort of our entire loyal guests.
Your opinion is important to us and your feedback is most appreciated indeed. Comments from our guests allow us to carefully monitor our service and fine tune our operation in order to meet and exceed your expectation on a future visit in Dublin.
With Kindest Regards, Francois

We have a business class room and it is quite lovely. Nicely decorated and very clean. It has both a separate shower and a tub which is a nice feature. The staff have been very friendly and helpful both pre-visit and during our stay. We arrived early and appreciated the ability to check in a little early so we could recover from our red eye flight. The front desk person was helpful in pointing out where key attractions of the city are and recommending places to eat.

Location wise, you will be within walking distance to anything in the city. Location is very close to St. Patrick Cathedral. And very close is the city's oldest "chipper".

It is virtually impossible to style dark brown hair in a hotel room and bathroom with dark brown walls. In addition to this poorly thought out design feature, the room had small but intensely bright overhead recessed lighting. which means that no matter where you stand to access your clothes, you are standing in your shadow and can't see much of anything. Whoever designed these rooms certainly never cared much for creature comfort. I give this hotel a 2 rating because it has a good location, was clean and had good breakfasts.
