With Kindest Regards,
The hotel was nice. We had a business class room, which is suppose to be an upgrade but it didn't seem particularly larger than the other rooms. It was all clean and modern and we had a decent view of the city with the tower to the Dublin castle visible. However the upgrade was fairly expensive and it also cost around $65 dollars to get a roll-away bed in the room, which we thought was a bit outrageous. The hotel is convenient to the city center, but there is not a whole lot within a block or two of the hotel. It's more on the periphery of where the action is. The staff was very friendly. They also let us check in early, around 11am, which was a big help since we just arrived from the US. So we like the hotel but felt it was a tad bit overpriced for what you got.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel on TripAdvisor.
I am glad to here that you enjoyed our Business Class room which come with complimentary daily newspaper, Nespresso machine, free on-demand movies, Super Buffet Breakfast, bathrobe & slippers and landscape and city view including Dublin Castle. Those amenities are different than our comfortable and well design standard room here at the Radisson Blu Royal.
It is great that our staff were able to accommodate you directly on arrival and i will not miss the opportunities to thank the entire team here at the Royal.
With Kindest regards,
Just an overnight here and the location is fantastic. Just a few minutes from St. Stephens Green and under a 30min stroll from the train station.
The hotel is really lovely and the rooms so comfortable. It is a city centre hotel so being woken at 6 by delivery or nearby apartment parking gates banging is just something that comes with the location. Maybe request a high floor if you are visiting.
Staff were really great. All met through check-in, at the bar and at check out really were so polite and friendly. I have to mention one staff member who worked in the bar that unfortunately I never took note of his name. My colleague & I arrived late and just wanted a light snack. Not seeing anything on the bar menu we asked could we get an option from the room service menu. He went beyond normal service and went and asked the kitchen could this be accommodated. We both really appreciated this when he could have easily just said a flat out no. The unfortunate outcome was near €10 for 5 pieces of Calamari!! Thought that a bit pricy for what we got.
Other than that, it is definitely a hotel I would recommend and hopefully get to stay in again.

We stayed at the Radisson in June and found it an excellent hotel. It had a good location not very far from all the attractions. Our room was on the first floor looking on to the lovely patio area. The rooms were large and well equipped. The staff were friendly and the umbrellas provided when it was raining was a class touch from a class hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while on vacation. Our room wasn't ready as we arrived quite early, but the staff were friendly and did their best to accommodate us. They kept our luggage in a security place while we waited for our room to be available. We stayed in a junior suite, which had a balcony with a great view of the city. The room itself was spacious, with a very large dinner table and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and included a TV built in the wall if you wanted to watch while soaking up in the tub. The hotel is in a great location, which probably makes it a very popular. Most of the attractions are within walking distance. There are taxis available for trips that require more distance. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin.

We are glad that you choose our hotel during your vacation in Ireland and you enjoyed our Junior Suite over those 3 nights.

We were very impressed with this hotel. From the front desk staff on check-in to the very helpful front desk individual who helped me with directions to the airport at 6:00am. The rooms were very nice and modern. We had two interconnecting rooms, which kind of made it feel like a suite. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The breakfast buffet was very large and good.
The hotel is within walking distance to most of the popular places in Dublin. We were able to get out and visit the Temple Bar area, Trinity College, St. Stephens Green and walk across the river bridge and visit some areas north of the river as well.
The only gripe I would have with the hotel was that our rooms faced a courtyard and the night before we had to get up very early to catch our place, they had a world cup watching party. The party was supposed to end around 10:00, but it continued on another 1/2 hour or so. While I understand and participate in the excitement of the World Cup, I would think a hotel that caters a lot of business people, would have such a party indoors. I feel sorry for anybody who had to make a presentation in the morning on only a few hours of sleep because it was too noisy.
Other than the party, our stay was fantastic and would definitely stay there again - just not during the World Cup.
