“New york in sandyford...”

If you are in Sandyford or surrounding area you have to experience Pizzicato. Marko the owner is a real treat, His new york deli style is infectious and you feel like a wise guy when leaving.

The food is always the same standard which is great. All the breads are made fresh in house and the marinade on the chicken is very tasty indeed. I have had Pizzicato five or six times and I have to say it has never changed, which in this case is a good thing. If it aint broke...

Prices are reasonable and the portion size is good nearly too much bit if you want a big eat off you go. I would go beck and have recommended Pizzicato to several friends in the area too.

“Consistently great”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

I was introduced to this place by a friend and eat there at least once a week since for the last 6 months. Monster portions of fantastic food at a reasonable price. I have since introduced other friends here, and all have become regulars. This is by far my favourite place to have lunch

“Diamond in the Rough - Like being in New York”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

I was introduced to this diner while back while on a business trip in the Sandyford area and enjoyed the food and experience so much I returned 2 days later with my wife.

Off the path, surprising, but really amazingly refreshing eat.

The menu is complex and sophisticated with a range of good ol' cultural Italian food with a twist of Americana thrown in. Ive been back several times now, always delighted by the value and portions.

You'll find lots of the things are made onsite in their busy kitchen which comes complete with the 'crash and bang' you get from a NY style diner. Also a hidden gem is the 'boozer' off-license around the corner which you can bring your own BYOB! Be sure to catch the tram if you plan on doing this.

Be ready for menu highlights like:
- Cousin Vinny Pizza (meat lovers delight)
- Steak + Fritte (double fried fries tossed in a balsamic sauce)
- Charcoal Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

You get fast service with attitude and a smile. A small range of cold drinks and descent coffee.

Its pretty clear who the restaurant owner/manager is as you get to meet him with a big smile and welcoming suggestion for the day.
