We asked for a quiet room, as always, and, for once, got one. Score!
The room had 3 beds in it which made for a tight squeeze and the heating wasn't working which made it cold. We told the night porter but he didn't come to investigate it. Someone came to our room when we were leaving and discovered the control panel had a broken/dodgy switch. Not much use to us at checkout. On the plus side, because there were 2 other beds, we took the quilts from them and were cosy in the very comfortable bed.
Our bathroom was a wet-room, shower only affair (water leaked out the bathroom door from it) and it was freezing in there. Good, big towels though, which was great.
Breakfast was good - standout things included the fresh pancakes, a special gluten free section and tasty scrambled eggs.
I think the staff here are doing their best but, like most Dublin hotels at this level, there aren't enough staff and things get neglected because of that.More
