Paul and I came to stay for the weekend in this great value for money B&B.
Right from booking with Paul, I had a good vibe about the place. I was taken aback from the lengths they took to optimise our stay, as they were flexible in check in and breakfast times. They even passed on a tour bus pass left from a previous guest, that we very much enjoyed; and booked a very reliable taxi service back to the airport (10 mins, 15-20 euros).
The ensuite rooms were clean and had very comfortable bedding, I slept like a log during my stay! The breakfast was fantastic, a hearty full irish accompanied with Gussies' delicious fruit scones; with coffee and tea to self serve all day.
The location for the B&B was in a lovely quiet residential area called Killester. Fantastic choice as we didn't want to stay in the noisy city centre. There was a bus stop just opposite the b&b, a 5-10 bus ride for a couple of euros.
On our last night we walked down the road for a lovely seafront view, and stumbled on the Cedar Lounge nearby for a taste of authentic local life, a cosy traditional pub with a irish folk band.
Thankyou Paul and Gussie for a magical stay, both our parents are planning to come and stay this year, as certainly will we!

This review is long overdue, but I just had to share my experience at Bellgrove. I, along with my wife and two younger brothers, travelled to Ireland for the first time to visit our ancestral home. We wanted a trip amongst the people, so chose the B&B route for our overnights. We spent the first two nights outside of Dublin with Paul and Gussie. This was the best choice we could have made, as there is no finer way to get to know people than to live in their home. Having not chosen to stay in sterile hotels, we did not expect those kinds of accommodations. Bellgrove is extremely clean, close to Dublin City Centre by D.A.R.T. (the bus stop is right outside the door), Paul and Gussie are wonderful folks, and great cooks. It was like spending a couple of nights with family. Lots of good places to close by to eat and drink, and Paul even helped with coin change for the bus. We spent four additional nights in B&Bs in Southeastern Ireland, and this was by far our favorite one. Thank you Paul and Gussie for a wonderful experience, and sorry it took so long to share our wonderful experience. The Kelly's - Barry, Joyce, Dennis and Brian

I stayed in the Belgrove during my work placement in Ireland for four weeks in August and September. Okay, the room was small, but the bed was comfortable and I didn't need the room for more than that. The B'n'B is close to the seaside and by using the D.A.R.T. you can get quickly to the city center of Dublin or to the wonderful village Howth. There's also a fantastic pub nearby called "The Beachcomber" where you can get a great dinner and spend the nights drinking a pint of Guinness. In the B'n'B you can get an extensive breakfast Gussies self-made muffins raisins are the best I've ever eaten. The Belgrove also one of the rare B'n'Bs who offer you a WIFI-Access which is very helpful during such a long stay like mine. But when ever you've got a question Gussie and Paul are always very helpful. Alltogether: A stay at Belgrove makes a good Ireland holiday perfect!

This little B&B has a lovely family feel to it and it's great value accommodation within reasonable distance of the city centre - there are also parks and seafront areas nearby.

I have stayed in the Belgrove on several trips to Dublin, most recently at the start of August this year. The rooms are alwaysspotless and service is excellent. As always hosts Paul and Gussie were extremely welcoming and really helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for the fresh eggs for breakfast

Wonderfully charming family, perfectly Irish hosts. Public transportation literally drops you off at the doorstep (20 mins by bus to city center). Clean, comfortable and welcoming. You will have no regrets. I can't wait to go back !!
