Description: Roly's Bistro opened in Dublin in November 1992 and quickly became one of the city's busiest and best loved restaurants. Its reasonably-priced menu and wine list together with a casual, light-hearted atmosphere made it an instant hit with everybody from romantic couples to families, from business executives to local and visiting celebrities. Today, a team of 27 chefs serve freshly-cooked food to over three thousand people a week without compromising on quality and standards. Fresh heated bread is baked daily in the bakery.

We ordered food there for breakfast and while the food was acceptable (the eggs seemed a bit old and didn't taste of anything), the waitresses were absolutely not welcoming. Maybe it was a bad time for us to be in, but we sure didn't feel the food and service were worth the price we paid (nearly 10€ for a boiled egg on a toast).

We won't be recommending the place to our friends.

Visited for dinner with family. Food is really very good - especially the seafood and the beef steaks. Service is a tad slow so Roly's is ideal for a long, lazy meal

Just had another super lunch at Roly's I cannot fault the food , had the bisque to start followed by a gorgeous piece of hake and then a pear tartlet , the plates were left clean and the service was excellent, their front of house Liam has the best customer attitude I have experienced and really really cannot be more helpful and also the young dark haired girl in the dark suit (which I think the dark suit means she is a manageress) looked after us superbly and also has great people skills just going to book it again for next week a well deserved 5 stars all around

We booked for 14.00 on a Friday, and experienced no pressure to leave, though we lingered till 16.30
Nice table and setup - good linen etc, very friendly and professional staff.
We ate from the E23.95 lunch menu and thought the value and quality very good for that price point.
Our only quibble might be that there was a bit too much food delivered with the main courses - cutting back the sides a little might make sense.

Overall we were very pleased with our expereince and will be back for lunch again
