We fell in love with La Cave as soon as we walked into the Restaurant from the bustling busy streets of Dublin, you are transported to a back street Parisian Cafe. Ok it is a bit cramped for space, but if you have been to paris then you will know this seems to be keeping to form. We went for the excellent value Pre-Theatre Menu. Starters of Baked Goats Cheese Salad with Apple Honey and Walnuts and Niçoise Salad with Tuna Fish French Beans Egg and Anchovy, were both plentiful and totally delicious. Our mains of Prime Irish Minute Steak with Pepper Sauce and Lamb Cutlets with Rosemary and Thyme were both cooked to perfection and one again tasted totally wonderful. There is an extensive wine list, but help is at hand in choosing wines. Service was warm and friendly and the whole ambience was wonderful. we will be back in La Cave for Sure. Merci Beaucoup

If you're looking for an intimate dinner for two then this is what you'll get here as you'll be sitting very close to your dinner partner but also you'll be very close to the table next to you ! There's downstairs and upstairs dining .... apparently the room upstairs can be hired for small functions and then downstairs you've the wine bar as well as dining. Despite almost sitting on the lap of the people next to you the food is pretty good, nothing spectacular but nice. Starters probably much better than the mains and if I were to visit again I'd probably go for two starters for my main. Wine list is rather extensive and not over priced. Go and visit this little place, it's nice and also reasonably priced.

My wife an I had dinner in La Cave in South Anne Street.
For starters we had the Crab Tart and Baked Goat's Cheese. Scrumptious!
Our mains were Confit of Duck and Sirloin Steak with Pepper Sauce. Both were cooked beautifully and we enjoyed them.
We had Tarte Tatin and Creme Brulee for dessert. Both were delicious.
We had 3 glasses of the house Red Wine, and coffee.
All in all we enjoyed the meal.
The staff were courteous and the ambiance was Tres Francaise.
