Lovely apartment with a unique design. Everything you need. Great Bonus of River Views and the Ha'penny Bridge which you can walk across to Temple Bar where all the lively bars are.

“Superb!”

From kitchen to bathroom sink, you're walking the stretch of this flat that spans the Liffey - in your slippers! Come home to this fabulously stylish, functional, well-equipped and superbly-located flat above Bachelor's Walk at Ha'Penny Bridge overlooking the famous Liffey! Brightly lit by day, comfortably dark at night, you'll awake to the shimmer of the Liffey atop the slick red ceiling with blinds open, and descend into slumber with the soft lights on the river.

As for noise that some reviewers mention: the Thursday night I stayed I listened to the sound of breaking bottles and the wild line-up outside the windows at the night-club. It was ALIVE and FUN with a trumpeter playing to the patrons. Exciting for a single gal who isn't out in the night, but curious about the energy. It was funny rather than annoying! Mysteriously: the noise stops at 11:30/midnight and it never returned on the Friday, oddly. Don't like the sound? Earplugs by 10 PM and you're in dreamland. In warmer months, with windows open, I imagine you'll hear more. But this is the memorable charm of this central flat -- you are in the HEART of Dublin. It's actually louder in Galway's Centre!

The area is superb! Close to the Airlink bus transportation to and from the airport, all buses, taxis galore, the LUAS and with Dublin being such walkable city - enjoy your trek through Merchant's Arch across the bridge into Temple Bar. But don't forget the James Joyce House on Usher's Island just down the way, and the James Joyce Centre up the other way. About 20 mins' walk from Sweny's Pharmacy. Oh yes, this is a central launch point for James Joyce enthusiasts.

The flat itself? Clean and the comfiest bed and pillows. I was greeted with fresh bread and flowers! In the fridge were jams and peanut butters and milk. In the cupboards a wide selection of teas and cereals. Mirrors galore, so if you're staying with a friend - no fighting for the bathroom! The bathroom is gorgeous - but I had to place books on the little windows atop worried that I'd be seen in the shower! That's just me being paranoid, though!

Speaking of my habits - owner Dardo was so patient with my countless and endless inquiries. He responds so quickly and is very helpful. You'll enjoy his wall of books - testament to a cultured, artful and warmly human man who is dedicated to your enjoyment and satisfaction at his flat. I was amazed to see a similar DVD collection, further reinforcing the grand vibe of this home, which was starting to feel like my new adopted home!

I recommend staying as long as your budget will afford! Otherwise, save up for this and book the flat for 3 nights toward the tail-end of your trip and I guarantee you will miss Dublin forever.

My only complaint? Not having someone to share it with! Add candles and this is the most romantic place you can imagine! Of course, it was grand inviting friends over for a viewing and a cup of tea late into the night as though it was my own home.

Be sure to try the bakery a few doors to the East for an excellent brunch, and Yamamori a few doors to the West (hope I got my directions right!) for Japanese. That is, of course, if you can pull yourself away from cooking at 'home'!

“Superb location/Lovely apartment - you must stay here!!!!”
Reviewed 22 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

This apartment is great! The location couldn't be any better. Very clean and tidy. The host Dardo was brilliant, giving us excelllent advice pre arrival and he even provided us with basic essentials such as bread, milk, tea bags, coffee etc.

Easy to find and a great location. Within walking distance to many of the various tourist attractions/sights of Dublin.

The apartment is very spacious despite it being a studio apartment. My friend took the bed and I took the sofa bed which was ideal.

All in all a fantastic stay!!!

I had a great week in this wonderful apartment, which more than lives up to its photos and reputation. It has a marvellous design and contained everything I needed to enjoy my stay and I had a warm welcome too.
The view is terrific and the very central location ideal. This is definitely the best apartment that I have stayed in in Dublin and I have stayed in quite a few over the years.
I will certainly be staying here again.

Although this is a 1 bedroom studio apartment, we were 2 couples and our teenage daughter, and managed to fit in just fine. Thank you so much Dardo for allowing us to stay. It was a real highlight and we plan to come back! From your apartment we fell in love with Dublin. We were right in the middle of everything. There wasn't much sleep time from the last reveller going home to the first street cleaner, so next time I will bring ear plugs! But it was a small price to pay for being able to simply walk out the front door and be anywhere in central Dublin in minutes. The views from the windows were endlessly fascinating, over the Halfpenny Bridge. We shopped till we dropped, sat outside pubs in the sunshine, visited museums and enjoyed the night life over the bridge in the historic part of town. Although the apartment was very small, the clever use of mirrors throughout made it seem much larger. The kitchen was very cleverly set up with everything you could need. The bathroom was also extremely well stocked. This apartment had the best selection of books and DVDs we experienced on our holiday. Our host Dardo, was very welcoming. We would not consider staying anywhere else in Dublin. We LOVED staying here and can't wait to return.

“An ideal spot in the middle of everything”

If you're looking for an apartment that's close enough to literally throw a stone to the heart of Dublin this is it.
My girlfriend and I spent a long time looking at places to stay for a long weekend in Dublin to make the absolute most of our time. We were not disappointed.
Dardo has created a wonderful apartment right in the heart of the actions. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful break this is not it but if you want to experience everything that Dublin has to offer then get in quick.
With Ha'penny bridge right out side the window and Temple Bar (well you've got to try it once in your life) just across the bridge, the Leprechaun Museum 5 minutes in the other direction and the Liffey within spitting distance (we didn't try it) we found it so easy to get to anywhere we wanted to go.
As it's right in the heart of the action it is a little noisy and in the middle of summer was very light early on but there's ear plugs on hand if it gets too much.
The apartment has all the usual amenities with a little extra on top. High ceilings and open plan makes the place feel huge. Dardo was lovely and really amenable to our slightly awkward flight plans. He had left a bottle of milk and an Irsih loaf on the side to get us going and the Nespresso machine in the corner was a real treat. If you've got one at home just bring some capsules along.
The apartment is a short hop on an Aircoach from the airport and just 5 minutes walk from O'Connell street(one of the main streets in Dublin.
Definitely one to go to again.
