My nephew and I stayed at this apartment for 4 nights in August. The apartment is in an excellent location on the edge of Temple Bar. We could walk to most attractions and two minutes walk to the top of the street is the bus stop for the airport. The bedrooms are at the back of the apartment and so even though the excellent cafe/tea shop two floors below opens up early, we were never woken by street noise and slept very well all 4 nights.
The wifi is fast, there are lots of channels on the TV and there was abundant hot water and heating if we needed it. The kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped and Kate the friendly owner had milk, chocolates, butter etc all ready for us in the fridge.
Some reviewers have commented on the bedroom size and the possible need for some decorating. First of all we found the main bedroom more than ample and although the second bedroom is quite tight around the double bed, we had not gone to Dublin to sit in our rooms and we had ample space in the apartment for us to spread out our luggage and subsequent purchases. I would agree that the apartment could do with a bit of a decoration at the end of the year, especially the bottom of the bedroom doors. But these scuff marks on walls and doors (probably from luggage) I have seen in expensive hotels and I would imagine that as soon as one redecorated then more marks would be made from the next set of guests.
Overall the apartment was very clean, convenient and comfortable. Kate is an excellent communicator and a friendly and helpful host. I would have no hesitation in staying again and indeed hope to do so!
First of all, what a nice lady Kate is. She was wonderful to communicate with, and was very quick to answer any questions. When we arrived in Dublin, she met us immediately, and was so nice I felt like I’ve known her for a long time-it was a great start to our stay. As far as the apartment, it was in a perfect location and close to all the bars and restaurants in Temple bar, and definitely within all of the best shopping on Grafton St. The apartment suited our family of 5 adults and one child. There were plenty of extras in case you were missing something (shampoo, shower gel, coffee, tea etc.) I was worried about the noise from Temple Bar, but we didn’t have any issues, and only heard the occasional loud partier, but in the 4 nights we stayed it was pretty quiet and we felt safe. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you Kate!
Centrally located to everything. Within walking distance of all Dublin has to offer. Kate was extremely helpful with tips to where to eat etc. The apartment is clean and has all you need for your stay.
Excellent location. Also Kate was very nice and helpful. I recommend his place for s family. It is closer of tourist area and because the rooms are on the back of the apartment then it is quiet for sleeping at night
The apartment is in the busy area of Dublin which was brilliant for bars etc. The apartment itself needs to be redecorated and cupboards needs tidying up. The sofa was coming apart at the seams. My friends and i were disappointed with the shabby look of the apartment. I would not recommend it to anybody
Right in the centre but far enough out not to hear noise at nightime. Lots of extra little bits in apartment, cereals etc.
Would go back again
Lovely modern apartment in the best possible location. We can’t thank Kate enough for letting us stay here, so helpful from the minute we booked to the minute we left. Really highly recommend everyone to stay here, 10 minute walk from all the bars, restaurants, Guinness factory etc and bus links to the airport right at the end of the street. We can’t wait to come back!
