I had, as many others, drove by many times, and seeing the window seats so busy, thought this must be a good place to dine. I now know it is because they fill the window seats up first. I dined here twice in the last couple of weeks, thinking maybe the chef was a temp 1st time round. I gave it a 2nd chance. Nothing improved. Same tired - jaded food. Frozen veg, that had sat in the water. Stodge pastry and mash. Fatty lamb. Tough/Chewy beef. On a good note - lovely fresh starters. Simple sweet dessert.
Staff were very nIce & friendly. Decor - back to the 80's, and looks worn. A child crying, a muttering manager. Did not enjoy our visit . we will not be returning .

I went to Joel’s last year with a few of my friends. We were there for around four or five hours and were left with little to no complaints. The main complaint was the time we had to wait before being seated, this is understandable due to the number of customers that were present. We waited in the lounge area and were tended to by friendly and kind waiters.
We were then seated towards the back end of the restaurant near the kitchen we sat down and it was no longer than five minutes before we had been assigned a waiter we ordered our food and drinks and waited for the food to arrive. The drinks arrived quite hastily, though it took a substantial amount of time for the food to arrive (upwards of 25-30 minutes). The food itself was in my opinion prepared flawlessly and served in generous portions. The waiter would check up on us frequently without becoming a nuisance. By the end of the night the bill was around 200 euro split amongst five of us which is quite reasonable for the amount we bought.
We all left generally pleased with our visit and would return.

Food was very good and served amazingly quick. The varied menu covers a wide range of tastes and you'll not be disappointed. The food portions were very generous too!
