We love Dun Laoghaire Harbour, it's got a special atmosphere about the place & very relaxing for a nice walk or cup of coffee, lots of choice of food & entertainment, it's a place that should be experienced. There's Dublin DART (Dublin area rapid transit rail network) & Dublin Bus that both have stops in the heart of this area.

Great place to stroll on a sunny afternoon after dinner.
Lots of ice cream vendors including the wonderful Teddy‘s. Fresh fish Kiosks as well.
Spend delightful hour and get a lungful of bracing Dun Laoghaire air.
Fully recommended.

We sailed into the marina. We had been here many years ago and the problem is that the visitors berths are away at the end of the pontoons. You have to walk almost 0.5 km to get out of the place. For that reason we had tended to go to Howth instead. This year however Howth was busy so we came back here.

There is a barge with toilet, shower facilities near the end of the pontoons but only one shower and one toilet were working when we were there. I am sure it will get fixed.

It is a good marina, excellent facilities and very well run. Staff are friendly and helpful and it is short train ride into Dublin. The station is just across the road from the Marina.

When you start to look about the town there is a lot more going for it than you first think.

My only negative comment (other than the long walk) would be that it is getting quite expensive and the extra costs would mount up if you were to stay awhile.

I probably will go back and not be so dismissive of it in the future in favour of Howth. There are certainly great walks around the piers.

If you walk both piers, this makes a decent walk. There were a lot of people doing the same. Beautiful day and a beautiful harbour.
