“Great time at the session!”
Reviewed 3 August 2013

We went to Cooke's on a recommendation from a local musician and had a fine time. We intended to go there for dinner but learned on our arrival that they don't serve food, so we got Chinese from the takeaway over the road and found a corner to drink our pints and eat our supper until the session started. The session was crowded on a Wednesday, but the musicians were welcoming and the music was quite good. The beer was good and cold and the service was friendly and quick. We would definitely go back.

“A deeper venture into Galway...”
Reviewed 6 May 2009

An absolute must if you want to experience the region. Tasty pints and fantastic music is the best way to spend the hours after 10pm on Wed. Nearly a year on, I still remember all the details; the passion and talent of the musicians. Even the locals add the the mix. I find myself trying out some of the local places near home to catch even a glimpse of what I felt listening that night. Absolute magic.
