We came in here during a very busy Saturday night on Quay Street. We weren't expecting much since it looked like a hole in the wall, but the four of us were pleasantly surprised. The food was relatively inexpensive, delicious (I had the Irish stew) and hearty. Our waitress, who was also the owner, was a gem!

This little gem of a restaurant tucked between some pubs and shops was amazing. We went back 2 times and I would have gone back more if we hadn't had to leave. The seafood chowder was the best we had while traveling around Ireland (and we tried in every restaurant we ate in)! The Shepard's Pie was amazing and I haven't found any that compare. Excellent service- I wish I could remember the name of the waitress that waited on us both times because she was excellent. Great sense of humor and very attentive to our needs. She also filled us in on the local places to listen to some music.
I hope to return to Galway someday- so I have the opportunity to eat here again!

Saw this spot expecting it to be a tourist trap, green shopfront, Irish music, Irish, Irish, Irish, come eat here sucker tourists! Looked at the menu and was delighted to find that they served a weekly deal for 5.50 that was anything from a panini and chips to lasagne, the portion sizes gave me trouble, which is saying something and with that the value was brilliant. The service is fine, as is the atmosphere but the value and the amount and the fact that it's genuinely nice hearty food make up for any slight shortcomings riordan's may have!

Four of us had lunch here St. Patricks day, the service was fast and friendly. We had 2 full Irish breakfast and 2 club sandwichs. The food was tasty, large portions and great value for money. The cafe looked fresh and clean. We will be back.
