“Get a flavor of this fishing village”
Reviewed 26 April 2013

Very open place ( I remember a ball field right nearby) to roam around at the harbor and get a sense of this city who's heartbeat is fishing. See the ships come in, view the row of houses on the harbor, birds, fisherman - great spot to snap some photos.

“Normal place”
Reviewed 22 February 2013

Nothing too special, but nice walk. In the past, there was a important place, but nowadays is only a normal place.

“very small, not really much to see”
Reviewed 25 September 2012

Galway has started hosting the Volvo Ocean Races as one of the pier stops and so the Docks, during this time, come alive. When there is not an event, it is an extremely small area and apart from boats docking, not really of much interest. If you go by just to have a look, there is a very nice restaurant, with a small bar area called Bar 8 which is worth stopping in but otherwise, again, not very much here.
