“Simple food done well”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

I'm a fairly regular at Finns. It's a cosy place where the food is always consistently good. It's plain food done well. Tasty and hearty grub. The staff are always friendly. Reservations are not taken but you can take a seat and have a drink at the bar while you wait. Go hungry. The steak is huge!

“Excellent meal in nice friendly restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

Went here with my girlfriend on a Sunday evening. We had heard that they don't accept bookings for a table but it was no problem as we were seated within minutes of arrival. The staff were friendly. The menu was varied. For starters I had the vegetable soup which was creamy and full of flavour. She had the seafood chowder which was a large starter it was thick and full of large chunks of seafood and tasted great. The chicken cordon blue with cheese sauce was excellent and the 8oz steak with pepper sauce looked great. For dessert the toffee and apple crumble was just divine. Staff were helpful and friendly and very quick but we never felt rushed. Two 3-course meals for €60 was excellent value for the standard of food and service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back. TripAdvisor places the restaurant on the Milltown Rd Tuam but it is actually in the quaint little village of Milltown, Galway.

“Old Faithful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014

Finn's has been an established restaurant on the west of Ireland for years and continues to thrive. The food is the highest quality and the sauces are some of the best I have ever tasted. The steaks are outstanding, huge portions and friendly staff. Although the menu remains the same for the past number of years, they have regular specials. I recommend anyone passing through milltown to stop and enjoy. To note: they do not take bookings on parties under 8 people so it is a first come first served basis. They have a lovely bar that you can have a drink at if you have to wait for a table - the waiting times can be longer than you would expect but believe me, you are waiting for quality.

“You have to eat here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2013 via mobile

Amazing steak!!! Easily best I've had since my trip to Argentina.
Extra veg on offer also. Cosy and comfortable spot.
Looking for a reason to pass through Milltown again just to call in.
Thanks to all at Finns!
