We recently stayed at this idyllic little cottage on the edge of the water. Our room had views from the windows in three different directions. We stayed overnight and there was a futon bed as a lounge to seat on as well as all the necessary amenities for our stay. There are no TV's which is really nice to ensure you relax and step away from the everyday lives we live. The house is not very sound proof so you can hear other guests etc during the night. The breakfast is wonderful and ensures you can set out on your day ready for adventure.

As world travelers this will be a B&B that we will never forget. To start it off, we went to Kinvara to get food because we were traveling all day. We arrived at 9:15 PM and figured out pretty quick that all restaurants stop serving food at 9. So we were not happy travelers at all until we got to the Breacon Cottage B&B. We told her what happened. She was so nice to satisfy our hunger and that showed us what true Irish hospitality is all about. The bedroom was very nice and clean. All rooms have a bathroom ensuite.
The breakfast was wonderful. The hospitality was excellent. The charm of Geraldine and the B&B are unforgettable. We highly recommend this place.

...under our blankets!
We stayed here for five nights, and slept so well - very heavily and peacefully.

Geraldine and Noel made us very welcome in their home, which is as colourful and characterful as they are. They are like a double act, Geraldine providing the comedy, Noel is the 'straight man' - they are great company.

The location of the house is perfect - right next to a small pier which reaches out into an inlet.
If the weather is fine, you can sit in the garden and watch the Atlantic tide come in, or out, and people fishing from the pier itself.

We were in the area to visit the Burren, a karst limestone landscape, which is rich in plant and insect life.
It's easy to drive around, find a place to park up, and spend the afternoon walking on the limestone pavement, looking at the natural environment and getting a sense of history from the megalithic tombs and monuments.

Our room (en-suite) had everything we needed, it was an easy drive or pedal back to Kinvara for a great selection of pubs and restaurants, we ate at Linnane's in New Quay a number of times, it couldn't be faulted for a selection of delicious seafood, a good price and friendly staff.

Breakfast was great - all the usual stuff, but Geraldine also made us potato cakes, served with mushrooms and poached eggs, which set us up for a good morning of walking.

If you are out and about in the Burren, I'd recommend the Perfumery, not far from Boston, for lunch, or just a tea stop. Excellent food, and stunning cakes. (No silly nouvelle cuisine portions here.)

I must also say that perhaps the reviews on here that are very negative are either malicious, or in some way mischievous, as they don't accurately describe the location at all.

. . . in a really special house. I have been there for 4 nights with my two girls. The couple who runs the house is too cute. So is the house and the place. We had a real good time . . . Thanks Geraldine and Noel :D

We found this place on our way from Cliffs of Moher to Galway. We were looking for a place to stay overnight and found this B&B which is a little bit off the main road but beautifully located at a lake. We were 3 people and fortunately they had a double and single room available. We enjoyed the night and even more the breakfast. The owners are very kind people and made a tasty breakfast according to our individual convenience and were patiently helping out with our questions. Thank you very much! :)

We found this cottage by driving out the coast road from Kilvara. It is absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful view! It's right on the water, wonderful hospitality and close to a great resturant in Kilvara, the Pierhead!
Wished we could have stayed longer!
