This is our second time here after moving to Moycullen a few weeks ago. First time we came on a Saturday night for some craic. There were more bar staff than customers, fact. We were told by the DJ that it would inprove later in the eve and they would be serving food and cake as it was their birthday but well over a month later and we are still waiting !!!!!!!!! We decided to give it another go and have dinner on the way home from galway at 5pm after working from 6am in the morning. I would like to note that it was recommended to us. It did also happen to be a saturday eve that we visited again. The place was busy as there was a match on, yet only one poor girl behind the bar was trying to serve food and drink at the same time. If this was my business I would have been embarassed, she alone, could not manage to provide a proper service both to the football crowd and the people there for food. As service was so slow you would die of thirst and hunger, literally, my friends steak came, and mine came later, for a table of 2 i genuinely believe this to be 'odd'.. When the food arrived it was only ok, I do not believe that it was at an acceptable level to consider charging people for (my steak was cooked incorrectly and her sauce was wrong). We stayed for a while after the food. In the mean time there was a staff change over. You honestly couldn't get a more "ignorant " bar man behind the counter, especaily for Connemara, the heart and sole of Gaeltacht Galway and the tourism in Ireland, as stated on Today FM as the largest method of income for Ireland.. I stood for 20mins at the bar waiting to be served while he had a chat up the other end of the counter. I was so frustrated as he had seen me standing there, and when I say he say saw me i mean, he looked me straight in the eye and turned back to his conversation. I work in the hospitality Industry myself. I would be fumming if I thought my staff would treat my customers like that. Well i can tell you i will never be seen inside that door again and I genuinely hope that no tourists darken the door as all this will do is destroy the wonderful reputation that Connemara has fought so hard to establish

From the outside this just looks like a small pub but on the inside is much larger than it seems and beautifully done out. Most importantly though the food is delicious and service lovely and friendly. The food is prepared within view which is always nice to see
