Had dinner here this week, great choice in the three courses for €20 deal.

Goats cheese on Brioche was fantastic, creamy but not over-powering.
Pan fried chicken with bacon with penne pasta and sun dried tomato with gremolata was delicious.
Elton mess for dessert was nice too, fresh and light!

Nice atmosphere, friendly service!

It is tough to find space for a large group in the restaurant quarter. The places are all busy. We appreciated that Kirby's had space at the last minute.

It is the same kitchen as Busker Brown's. They are beside each other.

The meal started off nicely. The lamb samosas were crispy, nicely seasoned and tasty. The chicken salad was OK. We ordered the beef stew for the kids - a nice option if you are sick of fish and chips and it was above average. The meat was a bit tough on one plate. The seafood chowder was "OK".

The adult mains were above average - very good. We had the braised lamb shank and it was falling off the bone tender. The all vegetarian option was below average.

The desserts - the bonoffee pie was very good, and the chocolate brownie was so-so. Just a bunch of super sweet chocolate. Nothing special. The long hair in the cheesecake was a turn off. The hostess was apologetic and did take it off the bill - the right thing to do.

Overall, a decent dining experience, but lacked the wow factor. Would come again.

Our kayak guide had recommended that we try Kirby's for dinner. The food was excellent - especially the goat cheese brioche, the lamb appetizer and the chicken entree. We were literally the only diners in the restaurant for most of our meal, though the waitress said that it was unusual. Service was excellent. The only downside was it was a bit pricey - especially when many of the menu items were served next door in the pub for slightly less cost.

Ate here recently and was very impressed. We were a bit on the late side but found the staff very helpful in checking if the kitchen would still serve us. We had a really tasty meal. The menu had great choices. There were a lot of choices for people suffering from alergies as well.

After an evening shopping in the city, my husband and I went to Kirby's as we had been there before and enjoyed the food. This time was no different! Our server was so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I had 2 courses and a coffee and my husband had 3 courses and the bill was only 43 euro with minerals. Serious value for money. Will be returning again and again for sure!!
