“Very, very pleasant stay”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

This is our 3rd trip to Ireland. So there is some experience here.
If you plan to stay in Galway, which I highly recommend you do, stay here if you are not a "Hotel Snob". The Jurys Inns are akin to ( NOT THE SAME AS) America's Best Western, but with a hugely better breakfast. This Hotel is absolutely in the middle of where everything is happening. You walk out the front door and you are literally 50 feet from the entrance to the Old Town with shops and restaurants a plenty.
Staff: The staff made guests feel more like friends than guests. Every encounter was extremely positive with our hosts going the extra mile to be helpful.
Physical Plant: The hotel is situated right on the river and ideally located. The lobby is small, however quite adequate. There is an out door grassy seating area with a half dozen or so picnic benches for enjoying the sunny days. You can grab a pint from the bar and take it to the picnic area. The rooms were very clean and quite adequate. One reviewer mentioned the rooms were drab, we found them to be bright and airy. The bathrooms were spotless and rooms are tidied up daily. There is a parking structure attached to the hotel which has an entrance just off the lobby. Parking is €10 pert day and for the convenience, it is well worth it. Hint on parking: the spaces are small and area cramped. Unload your luggage at the elevator ( lift) and BACK into a parking space. You will thank me for the suggestion when it cones time to pull out! . There is a full bar with some eating booths and a full dining room separate from the bar area.
Food: When you book your room, ensure it comes with breakfast. If you wait until check in, it is an additional €10 per day. The breakfast is quite tasty with something for everyone. The coffee is neer ending and there is a goodly assortment of tea available. The breakfast is buffet style; scrambled eggs, cooked eggs ( well done sunny side up) has brown patty potatoes, Irish bacon, sausage and stewed tomatoes. An assortment of fresh breads and jams are available. There is fruit, granola, portage, and cheeses. There is more, just can't remember it all.
We took a chance and had dinner at the hotel restaurant. I ordered the 2 course meal, Steak and potatoes, salad & desert, and wifey had the burger. The meal was actually excellent. The steak was done a perfect medium rare and came with sauteed mushrooms. Wifey's burger was as good as she has had anywhere. It was quite surprising to find such good food at the Hotel. Our attendant, Stephen Donohoe, was marvelous. He was super attentive and never missed a beat. So, Jusys Inn Galway, please convey our special thanks to Stephen Donohoe for a job well done.
Check in and out were a breeze.
So, bottom line, if you are staying in Galway I highly recommend this hotel.

Anyone looking for a hotel in Galway should look no further than Jurys. As others have said, it's in the perfect location to be at the centre of things but not right in the middle of the noise. Jan on the front desk was very helpful and friendly at check in. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a lovely view and a comfy bed. Will definitely return.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. I was disappointed with our room however, i found it drab. Also no net curtains on a first floor window that overlooks the street which meant you had to close the heavy curtains during the day and put the dull lights on. The breakfast however was nice & the staff very helpful. After my stay I completed Jurys online survey and in fairness to them they rang to enquire what I did not like about the hotel etc, so they are trying!

Stayed here as part of a stag party. Location is perfect.everything is on your doorstep.no need for taxis. Price was reasonable. Rooms are fairly basic but clean. I've stayed in various different jury's inns and always been happy with them.
The only negative thing I would say is the lack of a private car park. I know it can't be helped due to the hotels location but it is annoying having to pay for parking.
Would definitely stay here again!

Visited this hotel on a hen its a great location.
The rooms are clean but our room was small. Wifi signal was poor enough. Alot of hens and stags were there on the weekend we were there. Breakfast is fab. The car park is very narrow and needs your full concentration whilst parking.

This Hotel has a great location and a nice interieur. And done is the good stuff. No free wifi, not the nicest staff, and an expensive Bar. If you try to enter your Hotel after 10 you need to identify as a guest. And you are not able to bring someone in with you (not even the bar for a late night drink) LAME !

First night in Ireland after a long flight and bus ride. Lobby and staff were warm and welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable. We dined that night in the restaurant and the food was very good and portions were very generous. Breakfast was also nice. The location is excellent with nice restaurants close by. It was very nice to go for a walk after dinner. I felt very safe. My room was overlooking the river and it was very nice to hear the water at night.
