The hotel overall is basic but clean, brilliant location and good service. Ideally a perfect stay for touring or enjoying galway city. But if going away for more than one night I definitely wouldn't book here at the moment as there is maintenance work going on next door, banging and knocking that is unbearable morning to night. The same won't be declared to you until you reach your room and see a notice regarding same. This noise definitely put a huge dampner on our stay which other wise would have been very enjoyable

We booked for one night and asked for a non smoking room, the room was basic but clean, and was stinking of tobacco smoke, we were told that the evening meal ended at 9pm in fact it ended at 8.20pm as we seen people refused food at that time.
Breakfast we were told ended at 10.30, everything was being cleared away at 9.50am.
Breakfast was burnt to a crisp and cost 8 euro for a small breakfast.
Bar staff were very polite and friendly, as were the receptionist.
Car parking is in the multi storey down the road, not very convenient on a wet day carrying luggage up the road
the only good thing about it, was that is was near the bars, restaurants and shops, but so was a lot more hotels.

Can't beat the location and service. Hotel staff was very helpful, right down do the universal outlet adapter for my tablet! Food was delicious, and the bar staff extremely helpful and engaging. Just around the corner from the train station, 3 minute walk from the main bus station, and right on Eyre Square which serves a large number, if not all, city buses. Easy walking distance to shopping center and shopping district, as well as a large number of pubs and restaurants. Room was simple, clean, and a little worn, but the bed was comfortable!

This hotel had a great central location. The staff were so very helpful, and went above and beyond to help us find what we needed in our short stay. Unfortunately, there was a terrible odor in the very small elevator. The rooms are dated, but the restaurant and bar areas were very nice. We would stay at this hotel again due to the value and location.

Great price for the location. however you do get what you pay for...

My room was BASIC. NO view from the odd shaped window.
The reception area is feels cramped. If there's more than two groups checking in at the same time - you get the feeling like you're on top of each other.

Staff are pleasant and very nice.
The Bar area is MASSIVE. Food menu is decent. Service is great.

Space is really the one MASSIVE down point of this hotel.. It doesn't have a car park directly on site. You must use the public cark parking area around the corner.. I can see problems if you're traveling as a family, I get the sense that multiple trips to your car could take some time.

All in all... An average hotel but location is FANTASTIC.

If you plan on staying here you could find a lot worse hotels then this one.

Room Tip: No tips on room because I cant remember the room number I stayed in.
