“Lovely small hidden gem ”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

Was out in Galway looking for somewhere to eat and seen the bored man standing in the middle of the street with the billboard hung around his neck and my daughter decided she wanted Italian food. Walked a short distance to a small quiet Italian restaurant hidden away from the main hustle and bustle of Galway itself. Looked at the menu outside and decided that will do. Walked into a small but not cramped room with no more than 20 or so seats. Greated with a smile and shown straight away to a seat beside the window. Great choice of food on the menu ordered Brochetta between us and my daughter tagletellai and I children and bacon pasta. Was expecting the starter to come out as usual plain bread with tomato and stuff but it came home made fresh and like a pizza. Large portion Hugh. Plenty for the two of us. Loved every bit of it and then nearly licked the plate. Main meals were equally as nice. Would definitely be back when in Galway again. Very good value

Great atmosphere and delicious food for a good price! I ordered the Bolognese and it rocked! My friends had the pizza which was also really good!

“Rustic Italian in Galway”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

This is a small restaurant, about 25 seats. Reservations needed. We saw many turned away during the two hours we were there. The food is robust and full flavored. The portions are very large and suitable for sharing. The bruschetta was excellent and very interesting because it was made from pizza dough. Extensive wine list. Attentive staff. While intimate because of the size, children are well served also.

“A bit too salty”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Mid price italian restaurant. Wine nice but sauces for pasta were that bit too salty. We had been there previously. A bit less salty and it would earn another star
