My husband and I stayed for two nights, while the site is well kept it is away overpriced for the facilities. We played €30 per night which included electricity, however to our shock we had to pay to take a shower and hot water for dish washing. The shower took ages to heat up and by the time you got washing the water cut off in 3 mins.
What was most embarrassing being Irish was the number of tourists that were so annoyed at the lack of hot water for dish washing and even if you paid for it it was still only lukewarm. There were 2 young Australian tourists in tents , it was raining so they had to sit in a cold room ,( heater on the wall but not working_) which was the dishwashing and laundry room. We felt sorry for them .
This campsite is board failte approved ,its obvious they have not checked it.
How can we Irish who are supposed to be so hospitable treat our tourists like this and expect them to visit Ireland.
Campsites should not be charging anymore than € 20 a night for 2 people in a motorhome,/caravan with electricity and should provide hot water in showers and dishwashing sinks free.Campers with tents far less.
I would not stay in this overpriced campsite again.More
