“Not a hotel and too noisey”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

Was looking forward to a night away in a boutique hotel in salthill but what we got was a b&b that had tiny rooms. The first room was towards the front and at 3pm It was very noisey so we asked to be moved which we were but to an even smaller room. The rooms were clean and modern but tiny. As it was just one night we didnt mind too much . However it was very noisey with fans and very hot in the room that night .
It's a bit pricey for what its offering which doesnt include breakfast. However im Looking forward to the gormet tart company fir brekkie which is next door .thank god for free wifi which kept me occupied during the long night. If its just one night and u dont mind noise ,can climb stairs and dont suffer from claustrophobia ,oh and dont do brekkie and willing to pay anything than This is the "hotel" for you.

I booked 2 nights here. It was a little hard to find. When we got there we were told their boiler was broken and they had no heating. They should have called us immediately instead of waiting for us to arrive. Or put an electric heater in, we asked them to do this and they said they only had one and someone else was using it. Surely if u valued your guests you could have arranged to get another one???
We ended up wasting our short trip making other arrangements.

Lovely room, fantastic value. Small but beautifully decorated bedroom. Good quality bed linen and spotless bathroom with a great shower. Breakfast is not included but had a lovely walk on Salthill promenade followed by breakfast in nearby Gourmet Tart Company

This was one of the best experiences ever - beautiful decor, incredible to have the bath in the room, such a comfy bed, gorgeous soft linens and fluffy towels (-: And such a total bargain. Tomas, who runs it, is wonderfully warm. welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable, and especially appreciated for all the most important kinds of tips, such as which is the best croissant to choose at the outrageously divine Gourmet Tart Company a few doors along (Chocolate and Almond).

No problems at all with outside noise for us. Room 10 to be recommended.

Galway Bay is magical, and staying here gave such added sparkle...and has inspired me to write my first ever tripadvisor review (-:

Room Tip: For a romantic hideaway - Room 10!

This place is not really a hotel, much more accurate to say a b and b.

The rooms are very small but nice and clean. The lad who showed me the room was very friendly and courteous.

The shower was excellent.

There is no foyer or bar in this hotel, not even a reception area, just the small room.

Its located in a good area, but my room appeared to be above a busy bar. Clientele were singing outside uuntil 1 A.M._
