Riding on the ferry was better than swimming, but there was nothing special about our ferry ride. My DH and I were part of a tour group and everything was arranged by our tour guide. The ferry was efficient, however the covers on the seats inside were worn and dated and it just looked a bit shabby.. The water was choppy, so I went outside for some fresh air. The fumes from the engine(s) were so strong - probably made me more nauseated than the waves. I was thankful that no one smoked inside the ferry. The crew got us there on time and our entry and exit to and from the ferry went smoothly. Suggestion: please have your crew bathe and wear clean clothes before coming in contact with the passengers. 10:30 am is too early to smell loudly of body odor and doesn't help the nausea caused by the rough ride.

Easy to get to the islands using the ferry service. Very smooth 45 minute ride out and back. Would use this service again.

booked trip on line and received 10% discount. Staff were very pleasant and efficient at port. Crossing was a bit rough going over to island but was fine coming back. Enjoyed experience on the island.

Two boats go over, One is a very nice size, whereas the other one is a bit smaller and you feel every wave! It was a little pricey for what it does - takes you 45 minutes to get from port to Aran Island. But I think it is the only game in town and going over to explore and see Dun Aonghasa is well worth it. 25 euros per person for ferry ride

Took the boat trip to Inis Oirr, beautiful island, very friendly people.
Look out for Sandy the resident dolphin! She was swimming so close to the shore we could have reached out and touched her!
