Spent a night here in June and it was great. Well located with an easy stroll to the town centre. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff extremely friendly, helpful and lot's of fun. Just what a trip to Ireland should deliver. Thanks for a great stay.

Had a couple of nights and found by asking for a 'twin bedded' room rather than a 'family room' got a perfect two bed combination (not found at most Travelodge in our experience). we also asked for and got a very quiet room - no road frontage - and the lift worked well so no 'coming & going' difficulties. The breakfast was 'good' (best we had in Travelodges in Eire) and set us up for the day trip to Aran Islands. Well done staff and Travelodge, our b&b deal was economic, the general ambiance fine, if you are familiar with Travelodge.

Room Tip: Ask for non road facing twin bedded room if you are fed up with 'family rooms' for the two of you in separate beds!

You can expect basic lodging (a bed, TV, and bathroom), but certainly not worth the 109 Euro we paid for the 1 night we stayed, which I think led us to expect more from the hotel than it was prepared to offer . We think now that he high price was likely due to the Galway Races, but we didn't know the races were going on when we booked. There is no free wi-fi - it'll cost you 5 Euro. The location is about 20 min walk or so to downtown. We didn't find the bed particularly comfortable, and it's a tight fit for 3 adults and a child in the sofabed room. Our room was a bit tired looking and the toilet paper hadn't been restocked since the last guest, so we had to go downstairs and get some more. Bottom line: if you're paying for and expecting budget accommodation, you probably get what you pay for.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I def will not be returning. Unfortunately, I saw our quilt on the 2nd morning (the duvet cover unbuttoned and it came out of the opening). It was filthy, brown/black in colour. Our room was not properly cleaned - floor not hoovered, bed not made. There was not toiletries in the bathroom (dont know if this is the same for all travelodges?). Check out on the Sunday was a joke. We were waiting at reception for at least 10 mins, rang the bell a few times but nobody bothered to come out.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

Good Evening

It’s very disappointing to read your review of my hotel. I strongly reject your claims of the cleanliness of our rooms. Travelodge have a rigorous cleaning regime regarding the cleaning of our rooms. By our own admission you stayed for two nights and at no time did you bring any of your complaints to our attention. Regarding toiletries, Travelodge do not provide these items so we can lower our cost in order to pass on value to our customers in the price we charge for our rooms. On check in you pay for your room up front, in –order that you can have a fast check out on departure. This clearly stated to you on arrival. There is a drop box on the reception where you can just leave your key cards and depart. This is provided for you so you can have a swift check out. There also a sign stating the same. If you require any further information or clarity on this matter please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Regards
Seamus McWilliams

We recently stayed at this hotel and before we even got to our room I put $5.00 into the drink machine and it didnt give any drinks, the man on duty refused to help and said to call the number on the machine as it wasnt his problem. When entering our room there was hair all over the floor that someone had cut off their head and there was vomit on the outside of the window. Very noisy but walking distance to the city if you are looking for a buf=dget hotel
