“Great location & view. Noisy. Could be cleaner.”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Good points: Excellent location. On the prom - close to restaurant, food, bars etc. short drive to city. Beautiful view to get up to. Spacious. Free wifi. 2 bathrooms in 2 bed apt! Decent size tv.
Bad points: Limited parking - Some spots very tight - Some parking spots underground with no lighting. Cleanliness - First impression was the car park. Not very tidy. Front was clean but round hrs back had old car, scrap etc. reception was spotless but our apt. could have done with a new coat of paint. Lots of marks on walls which gave place a little bit of a grimy feel. Even the wooden floor in our apt could've been cleaned better. Next point is the Noisy traffic due to location - we had a toddler so traffic noise was a little bit of a nuisance at bed time. The balcony did not match my expectation from the website. Website shows table. Obviously a more expensive apt because our 2 bed apt had a v average balcony with 2 chairs. Finally, their is a stairs from the carpark to hotel which makes travelling with kids buggies, bags etc more work - alternative is to take longer walk around to front of property.

Overall though, the good points outweigh the bad and I would return. Had a good week in salthill. Galway city has great atmosphere. Leisureland pool was closed during our stay. Luckily weather was good as, like most holiday resorts in ireland or abroad, entertainment opportunities are limited if weather is bad.

Thank you so much for your feedback, nice to hear from you. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your overall stay with us. We take on board all of your comments, and appreciate that our car park can get quite full during the peak periods, though we are luckily situated just opposite the free public car park on the Promenade for any overflow. Our lifts service the ground floor (Reception) up to all apartment floors, but unfortunately do not go down to the car park basement level - however our staff are always happy to assist with carrying any heavy luggage or prams up to the lift level. We strive to keep our apartments fresh and up to date, and have taken on board your other comments to help improve the site for future. We hope to see you again in Salthill soon.

“Excellent apartment for Galway Bay stay.”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We based ourselves here for 3 nights while we explored the Galway area and couldn't have done better. The apartment had been recently renovated and it was very clean. The view out across the bay was stunning. The complex is secure with a code entry. The receptionist was the most helpful that I have ever met. She stayed later to help a group of tourists who were in difficulties because of an Air Lingus strike and was friendly and helpful to everyone. We slept well, there was little or no noise from neighbouring apartments. The lift was welcome going up to the third floor. The parking below is limited, it might be an issue in summer months. it was on a first come basis.
The location was good, it was easy to get to without having to face the traffic in and out of Galway itself. Near to the apartments is a useful shopping complex with small supermarket and character pubs.

“Wonderful apartment - Great place to stay”
Reviewed 29 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I am a regular visitor to Galway and generally stay with family. As a treat to my parents on their 50th wedding anniversary I booked a two bed roof top terrace apartment. The views across the bay to Clare are spectacular. The apartment itself is very well maintained and with all facilities that you would require - large bed in each room with each room having a separate toilet & shower (one room had a bath/shower), sofa in main room, TV, washing machine/dryer, all kitchen equipment plus utensils.

There is a double lift and so access to each floor is easy. A car park at the back and we never had any problems in finding a space during the day or in the evening.

The staff are very nice & helpful should help be required. the check-in & out procedures are very easy. The property is also secured by having a key code entry on both the front & rear door.

I can honestly not fault the place as it was perfect. I stayed with my parents who are in their late 70s & 80s and it was great for them. There were also quite a few families with children staying and so the place is truly suitable for all ages. Salthill Prom is literally in front of the apartments, with a Centra store less than five minutes walk so buying groceries is not an issue. There are quite a number of restaurants within a five minute walk and other facilities too - banks, church, post office etc.

It could do with a ramp at the front entrance to allow easy access for those using a wheelchair, but, other than that, access for wheelchair users seems good.

A wonderful place to stay.

“Adequate”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Great location. Beautiful view. A tad noisy being on the main drag, but that was to be expected. Wish I had asked to see the apt before paying...would have upgraded. Ad on internet is a little misleading. Decor in #13 was very tired. Not the cleanest and needed a coat of paint. But for a place to lay your head at the end of the day it was sufficient.

Thank you for your review and feedback, much appreciated. Glad to hear you enjoyed the stunning view of Galway Bay from our apartment. We appreciate your comments about the apartment decor, and try to keep our building up to date and refreshed as often as we can. The decor and upholstery is different between the Standard Apartments and the Pent House Apartments, we do try and have photographs of both apartment types online but apologize for any confusion. We're happy that overall you enjoyed your stay with us, and would love to see you here again.

We stayed 9th -14th July 2014. 1 bed apartment for husband, toddler and myself. They had travel cot in room already. Deffo a wee home from home. Bathroom is a bit compact though. Lovely modern apartment with all the cooking utensils you could need, an oven and hob, also microwave, dishwasher and a washer dryer. Water pipes can be noisy when water turned on at times. Beautiful views onto Galway Bay from living area. Great having a balcony too for the warm nights. Bus stop right outside door and across the door to take you to Eyre Sq. Beach across the road. Staff lovely. Fantastic and will be back without a doubt.

“Great location, very noisy!!”

We stayed in the apartments with 2 small kids for a week. The only real drawback for us was the extreme noise in the apartments. We the adults were at the front so had the noise of the main road while in the other room it sounded like furniture was being moved half the night! Was glad to get away from it after 7 nights.
Apartments were lovely and v clean but def overpriced. Equipped with the very basics- scanty kitchen equipment, no clothes airer, few towels and no toilet rolls!
However we really enjoyed our stay. Location is great for the beach, funfair and many more activities. Just a bit if advice with kids- we got a travel cot which was broken and mattress
was soiled(brought my own anyway). Doors are a bit of a pain as kids can lock them or unlock them. Overall great apartment and would go back.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback that we receive. We are sorry to hear that you found our apartment noisy, unfortunately as all our apartments have a sea view, this does mean that they are all situated over the road which runs along the promenade - this can create a limited level of noise at particular times of the day. We also try our best to provide all our apartments with the essential equipment that guests may require, and have recently purchased some clothes airers to provide upon request. We provide each guest with one large and one small towel upon arrival as well as additional hand towels and bath mats in each bathroom. As our apartments are self catering we only supply a courtesy amount of 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) for the initial arrival, though there is a 'Centra' store a few minutes walk away where further essentials can be purchased. We are pleased that you enjoyed your overall stay and found the location to great advantage. We hope to see you again in the future.
