Stayed here two nights towards the end of January. It is conveniently located a short 10 minute walk (15-20 all the way to the spanish arch) to the main pedestrian area. If the weather is really bad (one of our nights, it was sleeting/thundering on our way to dinner), it's a cheap 5-10 euro cab ride to the heart of it all.

Mike and Breda were so helpful and awesome! Cliffs of Moher visitor center was closed when we meant to go because of gale winds, so Breda planned us an amazing route up to Westport and back down the coast-we wouldve never known about it if it wasnt for her and has been a highlight of the trip! They were so accommodating even though we were the only guests during our stay!

Rooms are very clean, we had a choice upon arrival (again, we were the only ones, so I wouldn't expect that in higher season) and did pick the room with the smaller bathroom (still manageable despite me being a pretty big guy...nothing out of the ordinary for europe)...Bed was comfy and it was a very pleasant stay, can't think of anything I can say which wasn't excellent (besides the wind, which was all of the west coast).

Oh and breakfast was amazing!!!!! Full until dinner both days

Galway is lovely and I highly recommend this B&B. Mike and Breda will take care of y'all!

Room Tip: honestly doubt there is a bad room in the house, very nice property. note there are stairs to take the luggage up but I'm sure there's help if you ask!

Stayed here 1 of our 2 days in Galway.Nice B & B on main road with parking on sight.Rooms are upstairs so you need to haul luggage up.Room was nice and very tidy and the owner Mike very helpful with hints on what to see and where to golf.Even got us ice as soon as we asked for it so we could enjoy a Jameson's in the room(ice in Ireland isn't as readily available in machines as in North America). He was also very helpful in moving our luggage to the B & B next door the 2nd day as we couldn't get 2 days at Ardawn House.Breakfast was great the next morning and accommodations only 90 euro's with full breakfast.

Great B&B - just what our family needed when we landed in Galway with no reservations. Great help from the local tourist office sent us just a short jaunt up the road to find this gem! Thanks to Dara and his wonderful hospitality, we will return next time in Galway! Happy times!

Ardawn House is one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in! The tourist office in town helped us with the reservation because we didn't make one before arriving in Galway. Good thing - otherwise we may never have discovered Ardawn House! The owners were out of the country on holiday, so their son Dara was running the place. He and the B&B were two of the highlights of our entire trip! He gave us a really warm welcome and accommodated 6 adults with no notice. He gave us a city map with food and pub suggestions off the beaten path. The full Irish breakfast was absolutely delicious and the rooms were exactly what we needed - clean, cozy, and simple. The location is perfect - just a short walk from Eyre Square and the bus station. I really can't imagine a better B&B in Galway. When we return to Galway, we'll definitely stay here again!

This is an extremely comfortable place to stay - excellently located on the edge of the city centre. Breda and Mike provided us with a warm welcome, great wifi and delicious breakfasts and were very accommodating when we needed to make an early departure. Breda even drove us to the bus station! Recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Galway. Or go to Galway so you can stay at Ardawn.
