Great staff, giving personal service make this hotel great. It has nice rooms, a quality restaurant and is located in the heart of the city. The hotel location, fronted on a narrow street, makes parking near difficult, but there is a car park at the rear where they will take your car and look after it during your stay. This operates very efficiently and demonstrates how they have taken what could be a problem for a guest and solved it before it becomes one. My wife suffers from ashma and the normal bedding is duck down, as soon as we mentioned the problem all the bedding was immediately changed. Perfect for a stay in Galway. Will return here again.

Just back after a lovely weekend in the Park House. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the hotel upgraded us to a lovely superior room. Very warm atmosphere about the hotel. Decor quite old worldly but nice. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, this was lovely on both mornings. No waiting and staff very helpful. A very short walk to Eyre square and nightlife. We were planning to stay at hotel Meyrick and changed our minds and glad we did.

This hotel is a bit upscale and decorated as such. The price is higher than other places we stayed on our 2 week trip around Ireland. The lobby is very posh with couches and tables for afternoon tea. A restaurant and bar is available although we did not eat at either. The crowd was a bit older. Your car is parked by an attendant. Finding the parking lot is a trick. DO NOT TURN LEFT at the end of the street as you pass the hotel thinking you will go around the block. You will have to back down the street to the corner as there is nowhere to turn around. The parking lot entrance is behind the hotel opposite the Bus station. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. Two twin beds with actual feather pillows instead of foam, nice touch. Bathroom has many railings in the bathtub. Don't understand why Europeans don't have wash cloths and this hotel is no exception. I always bring one. Breakfast is your standard Irish fare. Buffet and menu. 5 minutes or less to walk to the town center.

I liked the Park House. The front desk and valet staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has a lot of character. The lobby areas feel sort of victorian but the rooms are modern. The location is great - near Eyre Square - and they have parking, which is important if you're driving through Ireland. The experience wasn't so great that I'd make a point to stay there again, but it's definitely a good bet if you don't mind spending a little more on your hotel.

My experience was definitely impacted by the really bad service in the restaurant the night we arrived. The food was pretty good, but we were there for 2 hours with our 2 kids, after spending the entire day in the car. The staff couldn't seem to decide whose table was whose. They were extremely inattentive and kept getting things wrong (not just for us, but around us as well). Eventually my family went up to the room and left me sitting there to sign the bill, and I STILL had to flag down a waiter to ask for it. Surprising for an otherwise service-oriented hotel.

Located close to Eyre Square, train and bus stations in centre of city
It has an extensive lunch menu of the usual variety but everything arrives quickly, piping hot and with an excellent service. All the staff seem to operate as a team and know their menu, clientele and nothing seems a problem or outrageous.
We had a quick lunch that was fantastic with coeliac options

One suggestion is to look at the menu. It is printed on flimsy paper and could be more descriptive. But that's my Amish quilt moment.... Only God is perfect!
