Owner description: For a great night out with a difference why not try a night at Galway Greyhound Stadium and we guarantee you a night at the Dogs in Galway is always a night to remember. The atmosphere, the food, the flutter, the craic and of course the top class racing - they all combine to make you want to come back again and again. Enjoy the fine dining of the Masters Restaurant combined with the excitement of the race night! Catered by Kudos, our restaurant provides excellent track side seating where you can enjoy all of the night's racing with tote service to your table. If you're not in the mood for a full restaurant meal we provide excellent fast food and snacks in our bars. Try the Barker's Bar for more informal packages or Stripes bar offering panoramic views of the race circuit.

Upgraded facility also used by Connacht Rugby, close to the city centre. Great fun and worth a night out.

I spent an evening with a very genuine atmosphere in the greyhound stadium. You pay 5€ for entering, then you are free to bet for the 10 races. Was a good first experience in an typical activity in Ireland.

Was good fun. Manager allowed us to get the special 10 euro entry with house wine and burger on the night as we weren't able to book it online with our card. Staff were very nice and helpful. We weren't the best gamblers so they kindly took time to explain each tote to us. Well maintained ground.

Traveled to Galway to watch Connacht v. London Wasps in pre season friendly...and friendly it was! Friendly welcome from many of the Connacht supporters and plenty of great banter!
Recommend the main stand (opposite the Clan stand). Even got to chat with members of Wasp's and Connacht coaching staff and players after the game. Got invite to stay on for the greyhound racing after the match...good fun if that is your sort of thing.
