The bedrooms where tired in the old part of the house & the beds in my room where shaped like bananas, they seamed to be bent up in the middle!?
The bathroom floor was wet from a leak with a damp towel next to the bath stopping it from spreading, which I told reception about, I found Several hairs on the bedding, fluff & dust everywhere.... The place had not been hoovered in a long while.
I Checked two rooms before eventually checking straight out again....
Having not obtained a refund from reception for the first nights stay, I was not fazed by this... as in my opinion it was worth paying NOT to stay there.....
I went up the road to the Travelodge - which was basic as chuff (but at least it was clean) to sleep soundly knowing that I was going to have a serious word with my business travel agent in the morning!!
In short the conversation went something like this.... "The place requires dropping, in my opinion it is a s***hole & if you ever do that to me again, you will no longer have my business".
I'm Not sorry to write my opinion, the management may not agree & I'm sure people will continue to stay at this hotel, I did complain upon checkout, I will never return.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else, anywhere else... Run.

Handy hotel on the edge of eyre square. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful it's almost like they enjoy working there. Food very good. Would have no hesitation in going back again.

We stayed in the Penthouse in the apartments. Floor to ceiling windows in the living room and kitchen. Beautiful view of the city and a short walk the city center. The food was the best in town. Chef Ken even hand wrote me a recipe for the Sundried Tomato and Olive Bread. I've never had such a wonderful experience!

Had an excellent weekend with our group with top class attention to detail from the staff. We stayed in the hotels apartments and the are AMAZING in terms of decor, cleanliness and convenience to Galway city's shops, bar's and nightlife. The food and staff were excellent . I will definitely be making a return visit.

Located close to Eyre Square and offering free car parking, this is fine for an average quality hotel.

It's clean and warm, breakfast is good and staff are friendly.

Decor is a little outdated and on the whole I'd say its fine if you're looking for something basic, 3 star with no frills.

No good if you're looking for something for a special occasion. Nor if you like modern or stylish decor. For that, the Harbour Hotel is a better bet for the same price-range, from my experience.
