“Definitely a 5-star B&B”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Sea Breeze lodge and it was wonderful from the first night. The second floor bay view room is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with a king size bed, love seat, French style wingback chair and a chair and desk. The bathroom has a great rain shower and separate tub with separate hand sprayer. Everything is clean and pristine. Even though we were facing the street, once the windows were closed we really didn't hear any traffic while sleeping. They give you a nice breakfast menu to chose from as well as cereals, fruit, and many pasteries. And in your room you have tea, coffee, a fruit bowl, chocolate shortbread cookies, and cheese and crackers in the fridge. Freddy is a wonderful host and made us feel very at home. He gave us good driving tips (how to take the roundabouts) and he even showed me how to cook his great poached eggs! It's a 2.2 mile walk into town or a short taxi trip. There is also a free parking lot about a mile towards town (by the acqarium) if you want to park there and then have a shorter walk (we like walking after dinner). City center is easy to manage on foot. There are plenty of good restarants to choose from. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to stay near Galway but not be right in the craziness of downtown. We will surely stay here again if returning to Galway!

Room Tip: Second floor bay view room is beautiful.

My husband and I stayed at the Sea Breeze Lodge for our first anniversary trip to Ireland and it was wonderful. The room was gorgeous, breakfast was great and the owner, Freddy, was very nice and helpful. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Galway area.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here. Freddy and Michelle very friendly and helpful with dining tips and touring tips.. Very clean and well laid out. Room was large and updated. Beds and bedding were excellent. Strong WiFi on every floor. It is located in Salthill just outside of Galway. Very easy to get into town with rental car. Breakfast area is very nice. Breakfasts were made to order and excellent. Plenty of free parking outside of house. Freddy assisted with luggage. Would stay here again in the future.

Room Tip: King room on 3rd floor was great! Excellent for couples wanting privacy.

One of our favorites. Especially with tour info and a very "real" people atmosphere, Freddie played his piano on the morning of our departure from Galway...we could have listened for hours... a great clean place to stay and enjoy the reality of some real great hosts. Very comfortable beds...still missing the great pillow I rested my head on every night! Missing you and your irish breakfasts, Steve and Claudine B, Rm.Rm #103 Best of everything to you...will definately rebook on our return to ireland someday.

Room Tip: We stayed with 2 other couples we were traveling with, all the rooms are beautifully furnished and v...

Highly recommend this venue.
Expensive, but "worth every penny"
Room was all it appeared in the photos, although from some reason, I had imagined the B&B was distant from neighbors, rather than nestled in a row of them.
Common sitting room with grand piano also a delight, as was the charming breakfast room / conservatory set amid beautiful gardens
Magnificent supermarket nearby, stacked with gourmet items

Room Tip: Front room on first floor provided delightful view of water opposite Road noise not a problem Need...

New (or seems so), supper clean, a comfortable bed, right on the bay. Breakfast was great, many choices we did not see in most B&B's and served with a great smile. The price for Ireland is about avenge for Ireland but get so much more. A robe, slippers, fruit and flowers in the room .Could not recommend more and will go back every time I am in Ireland.
