Almost as soon as we put these down, she returned and took our order. The meal took about ten minutes to arrive, which I thought was good given that each dish (so we were told) was cooked fresh. My wife’s omelette was nicely cooked and well presented. Her accompanying salad was OK except for the inclusion of raw peppers. These may look colourful on the plate, but are highly indigestible. My own deep-fried cod and chips were very well presented, the cod crisp and golden brown. The chips came in the form of a tower, which looked well.
The cod tasted as good as it looked. However, the chips had a “lardy” flavour,
which rendered them less enjoyable than they should have been.
With two coffees, the total price came to just €30 – a bit on the high side, but
Not outrageous for a four star hotel. Overall, quite a good experience.More
