Ate here with a group of friends recently. Modern interior, with poor design as regards noise pollution - our waitress struggled to take orders from the far side of the table.
Huge choice (of pizza) on menu, if you aren't a fan of bread based meals, choice is rather limited. Value is as one would expect for city centre establishment. Service was good throughout.
Plenty of restaurants (including Italian) very nearby, and for a wider selection of food and a less noisy atmosphere, I'd be inclined to venture to those in future.

Had dinner here recently, we found the service to be excellent, the waitress did all she could to help us with choosing our food, I would agree with other reviews that it's expensive for what it is, we had tesco vouchers so the cost wasn't bad, milanos price for glass of wine tho isn't cheap. It was nice and clean.

I've been a number of times and don't see how people literally flood there most evenings from Thursday through the weekend.
Possibly the location but certainly not the food which is bought in bulk and just heated up inside. The pizzas are decent but way too expensive for what you get. Drinks are outrageous prices e.g 9.60 yes 9.60 for a 600ml peroni that is 3e in tesco! To top it off it is a Franchise of the UK based pizza express and you will find prices are cheaper in the UK despite the exact same menu and high Street locations in London, Manchester etc !

An Italian restaurant located right in the old downtown, touristy section of Galway. It seemed to be one of the busier restaurants we walked by. We each had one of their Romana pizzas. Both were very good and had a nice, fresh flavor. They were about 13 inch (325mm) diameter but extremely thin. We each finished our own. Might be a little overpriced considering it’s so thin. It’s a casual, spacious but nicely decorated place. The chili oil and garlic oil that was on the table was very good to add to the pizza. Service was ok. We would most likely try it again.

Have been here before a few times on trips to Galway. Nothing special about the menu or the food. It's OK not great.

The pizzas we had were OK except the Leggere which we could have soled our shoes with. Service was good. Drinks pricey but it's centre of Galway so to be expected.

Plenty of better places to eat in Galway but if you're stuck and are familiar with Pizza Express it's the same type of fare on offer.
