Go here!

Make the morning or afternoon trip to Mount Brandon and head to the small harbour to grab a pint and some food. It's gorgeous on a sunny day and charming on any other. Very local, very good! Really happy we found it.

This is a fab pub located in the most beautiful location in west Kerry. The Guinness is excellent and Padraig runs a superb traditional Irish pub with trad music and turf fire. The open crab and smoked salmon sandwiches are delicious and made from local produce. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. This place is second to none and well worth a visit.

We spent two weeks in Brandon and we were lucky to experience the evasive Irish summer at it's best. Temperatures soared and we spent a lot of time on the small harbour. Murphy's bar was a delight, Can I start by reviewing the locals??!! A lovely and welcoming bunch of people-hubby was brought out rowing on the harbour one evening!
There is a lovely small and safe harbour outside and some tables too which gave us the opportunity to enjoy a delicious pint and an open crab sandwich while watching the kids play.
When the kiddies needed a snack, the toasties went down a treat. There is a small snack menu, but to our kids delight there was a chest freezer full of ice-creams inside- I think our lot ate all of the Tangle twisters!
A huge thanks to Padraig, Colleen, Diane and Brenda who were always patient with our kids, who during the fab weather were in and out looking for refreshment. We enjoyed many chats in Murphy's, if you are in the area make sure to pop in, this is the real Ireland. No gimmicks, no nonsense, just lovely people, lovely Guinness and breathtaking views. We will be back.

Forget super pubs thronged with high-heel clad Barbie dolls. Leave the café bars and fancy cuisine behind. If you appreciate the simple things in life -- it doesn't get any better than Murphy's in Brandon.
It feels like stepping back in time as you walk into the pub with the open turf fire. There's impromtu sing songs and trad music in the evenings.
The view from outside is stunning. Children jumping off the pier, fishermen fishing, the sound of the water, friendly dogs and the best pints of guinness for miles. To top it all off, you won't get a better native Irish "céad míle fáilte" or welcome from the friendly face behind the bar, Pádraig.
It's hidden away near the village of Cloghane and well worth a visit. In fact, make sure you visit Murphy's for a pint or a cuppa if you're in the region at all. It's not just a treat for our foreign friends either. I've travelled all over the world but rarely felt as comfortable as when I sat in this little place.

This is a really friendly local pub with lots of local charm and in a fantastic location - right across from a little harbour with a sandy beach. People fish on the wall (sometimes with a pint on the ground beside them!) and swim from the beach. The new owner, Padraig, has put a spacious deck area outside so that people can enjoy the scenery while having a drink or a snack. In fact, there are generally more customers outside this pub during daylight hours than inside. There's a good mix of local people and tourists and it's a great place to go for a chat and a bit of banter. It's also a great place to see major sporting events whether Olympic games, Gaelic football and hurling or the Premier League. But - thankfully - apart from the weather forecast, the TV is only turned on for special occasions. During the day it's very family friendly and one of the attractions for children is the ice cream fridge beside the fireplace!!
Where else would you see such a sight?
