Every time I go there, it is raining but I still like to see the shops and the fishing boats. Cute little town to tour.

Do yourself a favor and drive around the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry. Once you've reached the town of Dingle, make a right and drive on R559. Take the turn to the small road to take you to Brandon Creek too (stick to the coast). The views on the whole drive are spectacular. There are many pull outs to stop and take in the view and some pictures. I can't remember what town/area we were in but there is a trail that takes you up to some rocks that you can climb up to. The view of the coast is incredible. Right around Slea Head the road gets very curvy and narrow - hold onto your hats and pull the sideview mirror in! One of my 2 favorite spots in Ireland (the other is Rock of Cashel).

We wanted to hike part of the Dingle Way while we were there in May. We had four days on the peninsula and did three day-hikes, plus one day of driving to see sights. Our traveling companions drove us to our starting point each day, and met us at our ending point. We did several of the southern and western sections between Annascaul and the western end beyond Dingle town. If you like Irish folk music, be sure to go to the concert at St. James church in Dingle--it's wonderful.
