“Hard To Believe You Are In Ireland”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 via mobile

The Italian food here was as good as we have eaten in Italy. From the appetizers to the main courses it was all good. The service was fine and hey were helpful and knowledgable about the dishes (my wife has some food allergies).

The atmosphere I'd just so so and the seating is a bid cramped. Moderately expensive but the food made it a fair value.

“Delicious food but a bit pricey”
Reviewed 31 August 2013

Don't be put off by cheap looking decor... The food is lovely....best Italian I have ever eaten in, in Ireland! "however" The stater and desert was a little overpriced in my opinion. The meal for two cost €112 for starters, mains, deserts tea & coffee... (No wine) . The staff were very friendly... I would reccomend this restaurant for a special occasion. Its a little gem hidden away in a back alley in the "kingdom"

“Decent Food but Stunningly Poor Service”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

Cucina Italiana came highly recommended and we looked forward to a meal there. However, from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated quite shabbily. Our table was jammed in under the steps and our waiter was unfriendly to the point of almost driving us to walk out. Being very hungry (and somewhat jet-lagged) we stayed for the meal which was quite tasty and well-prepared, although very expensive. We all agreed in leaving that it had been a wholly unsatisfactory experience. We may have caught the restaurant on a bad night, but we will not be returning there in the future.

“Very nice food but poor location and over priced!”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

The food is very good and is matched by the sine. However, the location is poor and the menu is overpriced.

“The flavor and quality of the food was excellence”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

I had the tuna carpaccio as a starter and it was excellent. Wonderful flavors and fresh fish. I then had a past dish and the pasta was perfect--I lived in Milan for 5 years and this rivaled any restaurant in Milan. The wine list was somewhat limited and tended towards the higher end--which is somewhat surprising for an Italian restaurant as there as so many good Italian wines at all price points.

The only thing that we found disappointing was the service. We think our waiter was having a bad night and regrettably, it came through in his attitude. I would definitly go back again but would make sure that I did not have the same waiter.
