This was the best guided tour of a historic house that I've experienced, the guide was comical and brought things to life very well. I'd thoroughly recommend it. The grounds are also very beautiful.

Not only are the house and gardens very interesting, but take your time for a horsedranw tour to the waterfall. It is the money worth

If you are a fan of Downton Abbey, this is a great place to tour. It gives you a first hand look at how both halves lived. The lake views are nice, but I thought the gardens were a little overrated (I enjoyed Powerscourt much better).

Loved walking around this house in the past but now you can only do a guided tour which I found very off putting as I prefer walking around on my own

Muckross was on our must see list before we got to Ireland. It's definitely beautiful, but we were somewhat disappointed, probably because all the hype made it seem even better than it was. I've seen more spectacular homes and gardens in Europe, but that fact does not negate the fact that this one is beautiful.

It's a large house and the gardens are very pretty.

Thank Dan R
