We'll kept home with much to see. Excellent gardens and paths to walk as well. Glad we took the time to tour the home.

“Great house and amazing gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

This is one of the best locations possible. Its in the national park in Killarney and is some of the best scenery you can find in the country. We did some walks around the park and its just gorgeous. The tour of the house is very interesting and nice to see the servant areas downstairs as well. Also stumbled upon the restaurant on the grounds as well and its fantastic - great choice, inexpensive and great food. You have got to do some of the longer walks around the grounds such as out to Dinis cottage. Very impressive. The only fee is for the tour of the house - the amazing gardens and grounds are completely free!

“Beautiful House and Gardens with a Sublime View”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

We wanted to tour the house as we live in California near the other Bourn property, Filoli. The house was grand with a lot of Irish history before the Bourns purchased it for their daughter. The gardens are gorgeous and very expansive. What a view from that house! The gift shop on the property was one of the best we saw in Ireland and included many items that were crafted on the property.

“Great tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

We enjoyed the tour of the house. Fun stories about the Queen's visit and a good look at how a house of this size ran. They are weaving wool products in the basement and let you look at the looms.

Glad we did the tour but the grounds were also great.

“Must see house”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

Loved the house. The tour is just the right length and gives a good idea on the history.
Interesting house that has been well preserved and repaired.

Must get a Irish Heritage pass to use here and elsewhere for free entry

The jaunting car tours leave from the yard (horse drawn cart-wagon)
It can take you a variety of places. We went to the waterfall.
Very nice driver and good experience. We paid E50 for 5 people for an hour.
