“Every hotel should have a Clodagh”
Reviewed 6 May 2013

Clodagh was the first member of staff we met on arrival. She showed us to our room and showed us where everything was etc. She is a treasure, so helpful when we asked for info on the ring of Kerry. On her advice we detoured on to Valentia island by ferry and it was a brilliant suggestion. I don't think she went home at all over the weekend. She seemed to be on duty every time we passed the reception desk. The rest of the staff are just as friendly. The hotel is an oasis in the midst of the town. It was so quiet, even though Killarney was extremely busy due to the Rally of the lakes. The bed was very comfortable and huge. The choice at breakfast was excellent and the food at dinner and breakfast top class. We met a lovely group of locals in the bar on Sunday night and we enjoyed a great late night with them. Can't wait to go back and am sorry it took me until now to discover this amazing hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April and found it lovely! The food is wonderful....great selection for breakfast included w/ a cozy fire going in the family room. Stayed in for dinner one night and had room service another and both meals were amazing....really 5 star! When a storm blew down a tree and knocked out the wireless, they sent us to their sister hotel down the street and they were most accomodating. It's an easy walk to shopping and restaurants and we would definitely stay there again:)

Last January I had my hen in Killarney and decided to leave the tacky activities for the evening and have a lovely afternoon with my friends at the Killarney Park Hotel. I asked my bridemaids for a cream tea which shocked them but I love my tea! I have to say it was brilliant and a truely wonderful experience. The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't have been more welcoming. We had a room all to ourselves as there were 20 of us and the menu was devine. I wouldn't be your bog standard cheese and ham and scones. They really went the extra mile to make the start of our day in Killarney wonderful. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea and especially if you have a good crowd to ask for a private room. They were also very Flexible in the room rates but it was a little out of the groups budget but still very competitive.

A midweek two night break was the perfect escape to this world of luxury and excellent service. From the minute we entered the wonderful lobby with its intimate warm rooms to relax and let your troubles fade it was full on 5 star service. Each staff member professional yet warm it was like being in a familiar friends home. We were upgraded to a suite where every whim was satisfied and with a balcony overlooking the town of Killarney I never wanted to leave. The facilities in the hotel were all top notch and the pool, hot tub and jacuzzi were fabulous. We had a meal in the hotel which was nothing short of Mitchilin star standard and the service was impeccable and genuine. I could not recommend this hotel more highly and the hotel should be incredibly proud of its staff who could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable and an amazing experience. Will be definitely returning in the near future. Well done.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in April, 2013. It was fairly quiet mid week. Staff were very pleasant at all times. Room was very comfortable. Bottled water left every day which was appreciated. Would have liked if tea/cofee making was available in the room with-out having to request it. Free newspaper delivered to room each morning on request. Two computes, with internet access available in the lobby free of charge. Good quality and choice of food for breakfast. Hotel has swimming pool and sauna open from 8am to 9 pm. Garden seats are available to sit outside and read or admire the beautiful views. This hotel is in a ideal location on the edge of the town within easy walking distance of shops, the Outlet centre, pubs, restaurants, jarveys other hotels and the park which has beautiful peaceful walkways. No problem with the bedroom door access cards which is often the case in other hotels.

Room Tip: room 158 had a noisy fan outside which could be distrubing if the window was open. However, it wa...

It was so nice to step into the hotel and be greeted by such welcoming people. My daughter and I had a fabulous overnight stay in late March. Dinner was delicious and so relaxing in an lovely, yet informal atmosphere. It equaled any hotel I have ever stayed in.
The sumptuous breakfast that was impeccably served, lasted us throughout the day. All sorts of amenities, including free parking outside the door. I have already recommended it to friends who are contemplating a trip.

Room Tip: The mini-suite was great, and very quiet on the back side.
