Enjoyed our stay here. The staff were exceptionally friendly without being annoying. The room was beautiful.

The spa was very nice and relaxing. Decent size and nice to have the relaxation rooms so well laid out.

It was nice for once to go to a five star hotel and not feel it mattered that we weren't snobs and super rich.. we were this treated respectfully and kindly. The breakfast was very nice and same treatment from the breakfast staff.

Only negative was that the gym room needs work. The machines T.V's didn't work and the clock doesn't work. Minor issues to be honest. The gym was still clean, and well stocked with a variety of machines.

We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening so cannot comment on this.

Will gladly recommend and stay again.

Room Tip: Bring your own MP3 Player for the gym.

This was our second stay at the hotel. My daughter and I did some mountaineering in the Killarney mountains. We stayed for one night again and this time we have had a memorable experience. Our suite was really lovely, a very large bathroom with a huge jacuzzi. Beautiful views of the mountains and an outside little patio. I had the best nights sleep in a long time, lovely quiet room and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was a lovely sitting room with two very very comfortable couches, a full bar and lovely basket of fruit and chocolates.
We had dinner in the main restaurant and our waiter/maitre d was a mind of information about what goes into those desserts!!!!!! Such a pleasant man and I cannot remember his name but I think it began with L.....after dinner we were able to retire to the room and had a lovely chat and watched some Television. Thank you to the Manager Daniel for organising this and to all the staff who were so helpful. It is the staff that make a hotel....we were made feel very welcome at all times and they could not do enough for us from the moment we arrived in the front door (lovely warm towel for our hands after our drive) to departing...thank you Teddy for getting the car and carrying our bags out.

Room Tip: We had room 139 and this was a suite which was excellent. Some upgrading, more a maintenance issue...

Stayed here for one night at the middle of November and I really could not fault the experience from start to finish.
Firstly we booked online for 120€ approx for B&B with a free upgrade as well to a king size room. When we arrived however we got an upgrade to one of the hotel suites which was amazing. It came it a jacuzzi bath, free minibar etc all in the room.
This is the second time we have stayed here and if I was back down in Killarney again I would definately stay. The staff are really friendly to be fair and go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
We had dinner in the pub joined to the hotel which was lovely also, and had one of the best pints of stout I think I ever had :)
Great hotel, keep up the good work. No doubt I will be back down again :)

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms are gorgeous, and the restaurant serves very good food. The landscaping is lovely, and the hotel is right across the street from the Muckross Park House and National Park. We were there in November, so we had an excellent B & B rate. One of the restaurants was closed for renovations, but the main dining room and the pub were open, so that did not present a problem. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. By the way, this is the second time we stayed there. The first was years ago, and it's just as great now as it was then.

We had chosen the hotel over the spa, which turned out very disappointing. The second jacuzzy and most of the nozzles in the pool are not working. The relaxing area is much to cold, you can't relax there at all. The staff didn't introduce us to all the facilities or offered us a locker. One pair of our slippers were taken so I walked back to the room barefoot!

The bathroom in the room is very nice, pity the shower wouldn't work proper. Warm or hot water comes only dropwise. On the bottom of the shower the sealing is breaking and turns out yellow. A drop of silicon could do the job.

The "free" water provided in a bottle in the room is tapwater with an awful taste.

The small little TV in the room is not what you expect in a 5* hotel.

The food in the bar is beautiful, unfortunatly you have to leave the hotel and walk outside to the bar, which is not great in wintertime. Some staff than took us through the restaurant but telling us, the restaurant manager wouldn't like that!! I felt, like disturbing the manager!!

Staff in general is very friendly and try to be helpful.

The table for breakfast is lovely arranged. With the food you would expect more variety in a 5* hotel.

"I trust your stay was to your expectations. If you would like to share your great experience on TripAdvisor.com we would welcome this"
this is the email I received now from the guest relation manager! Dear manager, please do not EXPECT, that everything is great in the hotel!!

Dear Past Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Trip advisor.

Unfortunately our boilers went down for a short period during your stay leading to the issue with the relaxation room heat & your shower. As soon as this came to our attention, we had a plumber on site to rectify the issue. We are very anxious to rectify the water nozzles in the pool, but can not fix them without emptying the pool. We are closing midweek on 15th December and will be undertaking this work then.

I assure you that the complimentary water in the room is not tap water. We have a specially filtered water system for our rooms providing still & sparkling water.

I am glad to read that you found our staff helpful & friendly. I appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback.

Kind Regards,

Sean O'Driscoll
General Manager
