“Wedding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

We held our wedding in Muckross Park Hotel on May 24th and are still on cloud nine after it. From the moment we met our wedding coordinator Declan Sharkey many months before the wedding, we knew we had made the right choice. Nothing was too much trouble, and given that we live in London, Declan's knowledge and suggestions were invaluable (from flowers to food, he seems to know everything!)
Our guests raved about the beauty of Killarney, the friendliness of the people and the food at the wedding. I have to say that the chef did an outstanding job - along with our selections from their wedding dinner options, we asked for a specific veggie option of Mushroom Wellington (I'm vegetarian) and my husband requested special salted butter (just because he likes it!). Both were fantastic.
Children were very well catered for at the wedding with my sister-in-law commenting that her 3 year old son seemed to have his own personal waitress! At the top table, Joanne did a brilliant job of looking after us, and even managed to figure out how my train tied up :-)
We stayed at the hotel for almost a week in total and I'd also like to thank Akos on reception and Teddy the porter for their helpfulness.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the end if May. Everything was great, from our welcome ( chris was nice and extremely helpful) to the food in Molly darcy's. best chicken wings ever. We had a treatment in the spa. It was calming and very relaxing. Got to mention Colette and Mary were lovely and spoilt us no end. The hotel is tranquil and very relaxing. Just what we needed. Praise to all the staff there.

Really rated this hotel and can see why it gets 5 star reviews. The location is great, the rooms and facilities ( spa, gym, free bike hire) are fantastic. The food is to die for, living in London we regularly visit Michelin star restaurants and their restaurant is up there with the best of them. The staff are all fantastic and can't do enough for you

My wife & I recently stayed in the hotel for one night during our honeymoon tour of Ireland; our only regret is that it was only one night!

The hotel is a touch of luxury & the staff are very professional & polite. Even the Porter who helped us to the room with our bags left a lasting impression taking a genuine interest in our travels & offering some history on the area & the Suite we were staying in!

The spa is fabulous & the breakfast even better!!

Really could not fault this hotel at all, truly excellent experience from start to finish. As I've said we only wish we could have stayed longer!

Highly recommended, superb value for money!

Had a lovely two night break mid week. The elements that made it lovely were the people (especially Teddy, Shane Barron & the great young man who was on front desk as part of his hotel training course....apologies for not getting his name), the relaxed ambience they created, the delicious food and the spacious, comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet was delicious, especially the eggs benedict and the selection of sweet breakfast treats delivered to our table. There is a selection of DVDs at reception which you can borrow (great for when the weather is bad & you're just too lazy to leave the hotel !). Every effort was made to make our stay give us the feeling of relaxation we hoped for. On this trip I did not venture to the spa area, but I have recruited a few ladies to stay in the hotel later in the year to indulge in the treatments available. I look forward to my return visit.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the river has a pretty view and the four poster bed is a treat.

Bit out of town but do as the beautiful park is across the road. We stayed 2 nights here and we really needed more time to see everything and I couldn't find time to visit the spa for treatments but we used the facilities which are amazing! Would love to return for a luxury spa break! Breakfast was amazing, loads of choice. On arrival we were checked in quickly and efficiently and we were given hot face towels to freshen up after the journey. When going out the next morning for the day we got complimentary bottles of water and mints which I thought was a very nice touch! Really loved the hotel, would definitely return

Over-all experience was fabolous. We stayed 2 nites and didn't need to leave the hotel, our every need catered for. the spa is out of this world, the yew tree restraunt is well worth a vist. Quality food and warm, friendly staff. The beauty of this hotel is the many options for dining and/or having a drink. the atmosphere is very relaxed giving it a homely feel.
